Its not a case of why not as much as why gamble?
They know if they just let Mayweather have it, and then they take a later date they will do great, they have just done the same thing with kirkland don't fix it if it aint broke.

People tune in to watch him lose. It has nothing to do with how exciting or memorable his fights are.

He earns so much because people are disgusted by who he is in and outside the ring, and they want to see him punished, it has nothing to do with him being EXCITING, LOVED, APPRECIATED, or anthing outside of the masses wanting to see him get his much deserved ass kicking...

...of course he deserves his ass kicked.. He has no respect for anyone, he beats women, he beats his children's mother infront of their children, he down plays the accomplishments of proven ATGs who fought other ATGs etc......

After this year, Canelo pretty much has the September date gift wrapped and all to himself. And the year after that, the May date (unless Floyd retires after this year). It actually is better for everyone involved that he wait.

He's not scheduled too... But you never know. Look how soon Morales fought Pacquiao after his war with MAB.

Actually, the best scenario would be Floyd retires and stops killing boxing by putting the mainstream to sleep.

People love a good night's sleep I guess, since they keep tuning in. Canelo has not beat the man to be the man. So, he should sit tight and shut up.

same goes for mayweather and his team....they know they've been screwing over fans for years, why not leave those dates for fighters that really wanna put on a show.....

mayweathers only intention on doing it those weekends is money...nothing more nothing less....so **** him

Don't know why Floyd needs to even fight again this year after the May 2nd payday :think Let the young cats build themselves up.
