    you're begging my indulgence. no. google it yourself, it's all i'd do. you can't miss it, it was pretty big news. see if you can find what happened with purse bids and why, while you're at it. that might take a bit longer.

    it really wouldn't be that big

    i doubt many general sports fans(the people you need to make a fight huge over here) saw froch ward tbh, they certainley wouldn't have heard of ward outside of that fight.

    groves 2 was so big because of the action and contoversy of the first fight, lots of people did see that(many more than ward because time zones) and having the 'revenge' match straight after, in groves hometown were the reasons it was a huge fight and filled a stadium.

    Thank you for explaining it to me. Ward doesn't want to beatup his old Olympic pal? Seems like Ward tries to avoid other black fighters.

    He best quit then. Ward is the biggest fight he could get without getting KTFO, which is what GGG and Kovalev would do. Actually, he should fight Adonis, as he has an excellent chance of thrashing him.

If I lose a fight, I lose a fight, but Ben, I don't ever want to lose a fight that I didn't lose and be in a situation like Groves. I mean, if you even look at the scorecards in the Groves fight, this kid was way up and 2 out of the 3 judges only had him up by a round or two. What those judges don't realize is that, if they don't get it right...I know there's a human factor involved. You got humans; you got people judging. People make mistakes, and I'm not saying anything was done intentionally, but when you have a situation where it's not right, the scorecards or the referee is not right, or something like that happens, it affects a fighter more than any other athlete. If a ref makes a bad call in a basketball game, man, I got a guaranteed contract; I'm disappointed, I'm mad we lost the game, but I can move on to the next city and go score 40 and we can forget about last night. Nothing changes, but for a fighter, everything changes. One loss, one setback changes a lot. It changes the payscale, it changes the leverage that you had; it changes a lot, so that situation is off the table.

    Yea it is a shame. It was a very winnable fight for Ward with 2 good hands. It would of given him maximum exposure, put him on HBO, and he would of received a career high payday. He would of been launched right back to the top it would of been great...

    If Froch and Hearn saying for 3 years that they're not interested in fighting Ward, doesnt convince you, then nothing will.

    Saying ONCE in 3 years that he'll fight Ward, but only down the road from his house is what is weak, and then throwing his hands in the air and saying "no, I wont fight" when challenged to fight a little further down the road.

    Imagine if Froch said, "Ill come fight Ward in Sacremento" but Ward saying "No, it has to be in Oakland". Imagine the uproar.

    This is the Froch I know over the past 3 years.

    "They talk about Andre Ward, I don't want to fight Andre Ward, he will probably beat me on points.

    I'm a fighter I don't mind saying that. If I didn't knock him out he would beat me on points.

    That aside, he's not a big fight. American TV do not want to show him on box office, why do I want to fight him? There's no point    ."
