Just finished watching this match in which Garcia had a point deduction for stepping on the foot of Hasegawa. First time I've seen a deduction for that. How likely is it that a fighter would deliberately step on the foot of your opponent? Is it easy to do given your main focus is the head and what about the danger factor of taking your eyes off the punches? To be fair, if Garcia was stepping on the foot just because of a style clash or by accident, how difficult would it be to change your stepping movement to avoid it? I imagine it would totally screw up your mind for the rest of the fight.
So if it's deliberate that would be the pay off. How often do they get caught by a punch because they were focused on stepping on the foot?
