This is a stupid post He beat the 10 count 3 times after getting caught with massive hits by the hardest p4p puncher in the sport Hardly glass jawed
Monroe had nothing to do in the ring with Golovkin ... Golovkin should either move up or down in weight to challenge other opponents similar to all most all times great did.
I agree. I guess in Zakmans mind Marco Antonio Rubio is even more glass jawed, the guy took waaaaaaaaayyyyyy less punishment, and fell far quicker on less clean shots. :-( Not everyone is Kassim Ouma, the 147-168lb version of Ross Purrity. Guys like Murray and Chavez Jr to an extent are modern day examples of iron jaws in or around the class. I wouldnt classify Monroe's jaw in the same context, but it's faaaaaarrrr from fragile, and nothing resembling glass. atsch
Honestly I thought he would give him a tougher fight. I remember Montoe making Adams look silly in their fight, and Adams looked like a great prospect with huge power. Kind of disappointed, but he did show good heart, fighting with GGG toe to toe after getting dropped.
If Munroe didn't have a good chin then the fight would have been over after that brutal left hook Golovkin landed right on the point of his chin in round 2. Some people have clearly never taken a punch in their life.
Monroe got tagged by Vera quite a bit. His offence is solid but his defence is more flash than substance.
Why can't boxing fans admit that some fighters have glass jaws? They get all nasty when you suggest that a fighter has one, even when it's pretty clear that he's not exactly George Chuvalo:hey
