Spot on! This fight was being made out as "schooling" and "dominating" performance (by FMJ), by both fans in here and the media.
This was not what many people saw.
So when we started to dig a little deeper and the dust had settled things turned out to not be what it was made out to be.
The loudest mouths refuse to take second look or even remotely consider that there is an argument that Floyd did not win the fight, which proves your point.
I had Manny winning, in a close fight. I gave the fight a second look and even checked the slowmo, because of the "schooling" and "dominating" talk in here. Maybe I was wrong, so why not check, if I am going blind I want to know ;) - I saw the same fight again though, close rounds, because of few punches landed, still feel Pac edged it, but can see why he didnt win the fight, because it was close and judges only see it live.

I think Manny actually put out a video of every punch landed in slow motion, he's so convinced. I'm not traumatized. I thought Pacquiao came out of that looking better than Mayweather anyways, and I had it for two rounds- Mayweather upon first watching.

Lots of people forgeting that "punches landed" isn't even scored. Scoring is based on:
    Clean punching
    Effective aggressiveness
    Ring generalship
    Defense
Pretty sure that even slow-mo will shows Floyd had the better defense and ring generalship, he controlled the pace of the fight from the first bell and he was the Toreador to Pacs Bull throughout. Pretty hard to argue against that so already Floyds win is looking pretty solid. So lets talk about clean punches and effective aggression. Floyd rolls with and rides the punches. That means that a punch might "land" if you track it inch by inch in slow motion but it won't be "effective" because all the sting will be gone. Similarly Floyd blocks punches which means much (though not all) of the impact of a punch is blocked and absorbed and therefore not "clean", again that is lost in the slow motion because the head rocks back and the spray flys and stupid people think that means its a scoring punch. I'm all for no commentary because all commentary is biased but slow motion is deceptive and unhelpful. Fights should be called in real time and Floyd won this fight clearly. I have no bias at all I don't favour either fighter, if anything i'm more of a Pac fan. I just say what I see.

Lets me add I think we need a change to the scoring system that promotes a more exciting fight. Jimmy Hill (English footballer, pundit and bigwig) bought in three points for a win (rather than two, and one for a draw) to the English football league in 1981 and in a stroke made the game of football more exciting, more open and more attacking. Something similar needs to be done for boxing. Hats off to Wlad and Floyd they are amazing at what they do and they put together a great case to be considered truely "great" and yet..... no thrills, its a shame......

So you're saying soccer used to be more boring than it is now?

What's the over/under for every soccer game every played? ONE.

I guess it used to be zero.

If they changed it so anyone who flopped or faked a foul/injury would be banned for life, that would be a good place to start.

Outside of Vegas(Floyd's strong hold), the win will be rewarded to Pacquiao.

Floyd threw more punches and landed nearly 2x as many. Pacquiao ONLY had 2 or 3 rounds in which he actually landed punches in the center of the ring on Floyd to where he could be considered to have won a round, and generally DID NOT EVEN LAND majority of punches when Floyd was in the corner. Regular speed, half speed, 1/3rd speed, Pacquiao got outclassed. He threw the right hand plenty enough(even if the shoulder was hurt it was not a factor because he used that arm PLENTY), and if they fought again/5 years ago, the same or worse would have happened. Folks, let it go. Look for the lesson in this, not excuses.

That judging and commentating was not biased, that's a silly claim; Floyd making it look like he's doing more work than he actually is (whether intentional or not) is a testament to his skill set. I honestly do not believe he's making it look like he's landing when he's not on purpose, that's counterproductive. I think it's unintentional. That said, I watched SOME of the slow-mo, particularly round 3.

Comments like this are ridiculous. Seriously. You telling me Showtime and HBO are also paid by Floyd?

That is some grade A denialist type stuff. Slow speed it is clear to see that Pac outlands Floyd with clean scoring punches in most rounds. I am not a Pac fan either. But that's what is shows.

There are several fights every year where a video ****ysis of the fight, round by round, shows something other then what the judges scores and commentators stated live. Examples, Video ****ysis of Bradley vs Pacquiao I, shows that the fight wasn't a robbery. Video ****ysis of Forrest vs Mayorga II, shows that that fight was a robbery, as does Video ****ysis of Hopkins vs Calzaghe. Video ****ysis of Castillo vs Mayweather I, confirms a close fight. Video ****ysis of Rigondeaux vs Donaire shows the judges were too generous too Donaire. Sometimes judges get it right, sometimes they don't. Sometimes fans get it right, sometimes they don't. I don't ever deny what video ****ysis shows though, and it sure does show Pac getting shafted, and I don't even like Pacquiao.

It's not false, it may have existed but this is ridiculous. They need to give it up.
