Why not? Golovkin has fought in some weird places. Monte Carlo? Why the hell not go to London? Money's there.
Golovkin has been building a brand first on the Eastcoast and now on the Westcoast, particularly with it's indigenous Latino community. Why would he go to creepy, dreary London full of weirdo's who are nice to your face but actually hate you? Not to mention HBO's overseas production costs all for some local domestic sideshow opponent. Plus K2 would be forced into a copromotional contract.
Jacobs team should lobby the WBA to order that fight. If both sides can't work on a deal for Jacobs to fight on HBO(where GGG is contracted to fight), then it goes to purse bid and if Haymon wins the bid then GGG has to fight on PBC or vacate. That is the easiest way for this fight to happen, imo.
Id like to see GGG/Jacobs. Itd be entertaining for as long as it lasts. Dont underestimate a guy like jacobs especially with the power and speed he has. GGG isnt exactly hard to find and jacobs can test that chin.
