when floyd skates by to a ud over some alright fighter everyones impressed but when golovkin knocks somebody out early and really puts a beating he gets criticised i cant understand this. I agree that he might have some trouble with some 168 and some 160s but he is a special fighter and hes getting some good fighters out early .he is a head of floyd p4p no doubt about it

Golovkin would rank as "cream of the crop" as an opponent, for sure. But he's not fighting any live dog. Monroe would now struggle to be inside the Top 25 after that loss, but was at best 15-16th MW in the world when these two fought.

Sorry, but when you're the champ of a division, to not be able to get an Andy Lee or a Peter Quillin or even a Jermain Taylor/Sam Soliman to fight you, you've got no business believing you're the best.

GGG looked very bad. Poor stamina, wack ass defense. If Willie had a better punch I think he would have knocked Golovkin out. Kovalev who is often mentioned in the same breath is a way, way better fighter. I think Floyd or Ward beats him.

Didn't GGG say himself after the fight that he carried Monroe for a couple of rounds to give the viewers better value for money.
It certainly looked that way to me too. He could have knocked him out in the 3rd but carried him into the 5th.

GGG always tends to get hit more than usual by guys without a big punch. It's as though he gauges the opponents power and if he feels the guys has nothing for him, he basically ignores most of the incoming. Against Stevens he was a lot more cautious.

    Get your facts straight hater
Ward is listed at 6'0 Gennady 5'11
Ward has 71" reach, Gennady 70"

He's not that slow. That left hook he caught Willie with the first time had some speed on it. Willie never saw it. GGG is legit. Can't really take anything away from the guy. He cuts the ring superbly, actually uses the jab well, throws combinations, has a great chin, looks for the KO, but, takes his time, and seeks to entertain. However, Willie fought with a lot of heart and showed a wrinkle in GGG's game. We know GGG gets hit a lot. But, Willie showed how uncomfortable GGG gets on the inside.

A clever fighter like Ward would be in GGG's chest. And would probably beat him up. However, I don't see any MWs who could really exploit it.

He impressed me, what didn't impress me is when he let Monroe hit him on purpose.

Maybe this fight was a trap to get other fighters in the ring with him?
