Augustus clearly was not elite his record proves that 34 loses this is indeed irrefutable:yep Floyd looked horrible against this feather fisted 34 loss fighter
Congratulations. With this agenda-driven thread, you have accomplished the opposite of your goal and managed to spread some great spotlight on a victory that is outside of Floyds' 25 best in his career! His depth of resume is mind boggling. Good thread, will read again.
Emannuel Augustus Zack Page Michael Simms Reggie Strickland Marion Wilson Peter Buckley Darnell Boone All way better than their record indicates...!!! A record is not the only definition that describes a boxer. Hell Darnell Boone has a terrible record (21-21-4, but owns wins over Adonis Stevenson, Willie Monroe Jr and Boone also knocked Andre Ward down...!!!
Yeah, he only won about 50% of his bouts. Embarrassing. You know whom else that is true of? Rustico Torrecampo. :good
True, but there are tiers here. Augustus, Page, and Boone, are on a much higher one than all the other quality journeymen you listed, as each of them could, on a good night with a solid camp and motivated, potentially upset anyone. Rayco Saunders, too.
Boone, like Augustus suffered from a lack of management (or shady /terrible management), taking fights on short notice, not having the proper training he needed. Sucks that talent like Augustus & Boone is wasted just because managers / promoters are boxrec junkies that value a record more than skill...!!! Boone trains at the gym I train at when he is in Georgia, guy spars with everyone (including heavyweights). During the sparring, Boone will talk to the fighters and let them know what they are doing right / wrong and how to correct it. Boone has all the mental awareness to be a great trainer when he retires...!!!
YDKSAB....Maybe if you debate in Slow-Motion you might even win a debate someday!:deal...with that said YOU STUPID!!!
If you watch his whole career in slow motion you will see that he really is undefeated!!lol: Atg right there...
