    So why did Tyson get such a world dominating push when we got a guy every bit as devastating who's unheard of?

    Because Tyson's style was more exciting to watch. He was more naturally talented. It's not just about the end result, it's about how he got it done that amazed people.

    One, boxing was far bigger in the 80's than it is now.

    Two, Tyson has a more dynamic style, Beterbiev may go on to prove to be just as destructive but not as dynamic to watch.

    Three, Tyson was a heavyweight and heavyweights in general get more attention.

    Four, Tyson had backing from Bill Cayton and Jimmy Jacobs who used their huge library of recorded fights to get Tyson on network TV from the very beginning. Much easier to build a fighter when they are KOing everyone on national TV every month.
