Eddie will see to it that the casuals are all over this one too. I can see the bookies making a killing on early KO bets...
Well, here's hoping... Froch has a 5" reach advantage which could be crucial (just ask Pacquiao) as well as a slight height advantage. We also don't know how GGG does with that extra 8 pounds. One thing in GGG's favor here though is that his hands aren't really any slower than Froch's, whereas usually he's the slower (negated by his exceptional footwork).
Personally I think froch takes this Martin Murray at times was pushing ggg back and landed a lot of shots, froch is in a different league. Plus going up in weight will be a huge factor on ggg's punching power he will hit very hard at 168 but I don't think he will be knocking people over like he has been not against froch in any case. Don't get me wrong I see it being the toughest fight of both men's lifes both get caught, I seriously hope this happens
Landed shots yes, but at no point was Golovkin sent backwards other than when he slipped on the canvas.
i dont think iv been posting long enough to know who you are talking about . but im sure it wont be long before you get questioned about your multiple account as you seem to question posters on your very 1st post :huh
Differences are Froch is bigger and stronger than Murray, and hits way harder. If this fight happens it will be best fight in world, and you can make a big case for both fighters. What i will say if GGG fights like he has recently, going in straight lines Froch would jab his face off. If Froch hasn't aged to much since last fight i would fancy him slightly to prevail.
Oh I do agree don't get me wrong. That reach advantage will make a huge difference. We'll see if Golovkin's chin really is as strong as it's looked so far. I'll back a GGG win though because I'm a shameless little fanboy IF IT HAPPENS! Talks mean very little...
GGG retweeted the dailymail article http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/bo...-Brit-interested-taking-unbeaten-KO-king.html... Hearn has a recent history of not making big fights though,so im not holding my breath....Hard to see what other fights are available for either boxer though
to be fair to hearn, he's at least tried to make them, making offers to khan and Frampton, GGG sounds like he wants the fight so if the fight doesn't go through its matchroom / froch that will hold this one up. if anyone spots carl froch chopping down tree's its a good indication this fight is on.
the golovkin retweet is proof enough that he is clearly chasing these bigger fights , if hes willing to face froch on his first venture to 168 then you have to believe he really is not afraid of anyone , seems pretty clear the rest of the middleweight division want nothing to do with him and he has no choice but to now move up . come on eddie , get it done !!
If Froch still has the fire and can pull the trigger after a 18 month lay off (when fight happens) then he will be too big for Golovkin
GGG has never been knocked down in over 300+ amateur fights, nor his professional career. He will stop Froch and it will be glorious.
neither are getting any younger and im not even convinced ggg is 33! it is the only fight that makes sense for both of them...if ggg waits for canelo or cotto he will be 34/35 and have to move down weights which he does not want to do... plus i dont think GGG is like khan and will run scared of the biggest payday out there...this could even be made this august!!
It's potentially a huge money fight, and Froch has nothing to lose as far as reputation goes. If he loses the fight, his fans will say he was way past his prime and that he lost to an all-time great anyway. If he wins, it will be rightly be viewed as a huge win.
