Tommy was the more natural Heavyweight, but very mercurial.

Moorer was a superb Light heavy, and had some great moments at Heavyweight, even winning the title.

How would this fight turn out?

I've always liked this matchup and have gone back and forth on my pic whenever it comes up. Moorer was a natural southpaw where as Morrison threw a great left hook from the orthodox stance. Both preferred to get in close and punch but were both also capable of boxing a bit when they had to. Neither man had a great set of whiskers but both had huge heart.. Moorer took big shots against men like Stewart, Cooper and Smith to win those fights.. Morrison beat Joe Hipp despite having a broken jaw and rose off the canvas to beat Williams and overcame George Foreman as well. If truth be told they're abilities ranged anywhere from fringe to mid level contenders and there's nothing wrong with that. Moorer wouldn't have won the title had Evander been in top form as proven by the rematch.. But it was a great feat regardless. Who wins? Tough question to answer. In an all out slugfest, its anybody's fight. But if one or both men come into the ring with a well thought out strategy it could be a very interesting evening. I suppose this time around I'll lean towards Moorer. He seemed to be a bit more athletic than the duke and I'm wondering if his southpaw style might give Tommy some problems.. But again, its anybody's fight and probably a very good one at that..

This fight should of happened. I always favored Morrison here, even tho he don't like southpaws.

I must admit i fancy Moorers straight Punch Armoury to Steady any early Gung-ho inclinations Tommy might have and try to vend, and somewhere along the early way he would catch Tommy coming in with something Big, It might be like the Bert Cooper Finish but without quite the Rocky Road to get there. After the Michael Bent Ambush, for me Tommy has big question marks over him when a good Puncher is in the other corner, Moorer is not exactly granite himself, but i think his Boxing ability stands him in good stead here.

Morrison was a chinny grade B part time fighter/full time partier. Moorer was a chinny sharpshooter with great fundamentals and a hunger for Wendy's Triples.

At best, this looks like Moorer/Cooper. I am betting on Moorer based on his cooler head (at least inside the ring), looser composure and much better combo's and accuracy.

Are you kidding me? Just watch what Tua did to Moorer? Morrison being the aggressor will do the same. The bigger power puncher wins this fight.

This would be a fans type of fight. The winner would be the person Teddy Atlas did not pick.

Tommy was way too crude for me to trust him against a southpaw with power. He'd probably walk face first into a straight left and get stopped shortly thereafter. Fundamentals go way beyond throwing a pretty combination when your opponent is covering up. Tommy didn't have them.

Morrison is better than given credit for. I think he's better than Moorer too, certainly a bigger puncher, faster and a bigger ticker in him. Both would hit the deck Morrison would just be more likely to keep getting up and fighting.

Moorer did that too on more than a few occasions.

Who of Moorer's quality did Morrison ever do such a thing to?

How old was Moorer when Tua crushed him? And why not just say that Moorer would do what Bentt (a fighter far inferior to Tua) was able to do to Morrison?

Moorer is just a far more complete fighter who carried more than enough pop and speed to ragdoll Morrison.

    Thank you.

Morrison was and remains overrated. He just wasn't that good. He was marketable along a carefully crafted script... which even he couldn't quite follow.
