I say John Duddy at the Garden or Sergio Mora if he beats Vernon Forrest. Who do guys think he should fight?

The winner of Cotto/Margarito or Winky Wright.

I doubt if he takes Winky.

Yes, thats what I would love to see. After a career of fighting only the best, he is gonna have a farewell fight with Sergio "the fake" mora.

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in Mexico City in the same bull ring that Chavez Sr. fought Greg Haugen before 130,000 spectators.

:huh sorry, but what the hell are u talking about?:nut
He's going to fight Floyd and have ONE other matchup.

Cotto would be very nice imo, but dlh won't take that fight I think.

i had a thread before, oscar could fight a bunch of people that would not hurt him at this point and still make loads of money.

Duddy, mora, malignaggi, hatton, pac, chavez jr.. big money fights for oscar

I don't know about the Mexico City part, but, I do think it should be Chavez Jr

It's a fight Oscar can win and go out with a bang.
Chavez Jr is an overrated untested product
Chavez Jr is already marketable due to his dad's name
The storyline for the fight with Oscar's past history with Chavez Sr would sell well

I have always been a ODLH fan, but Cotto will give him brain-damage. He should fight Floyd and call it a day.

Tito or Hatton. Both are enormous fights, the two biggest in boxing. If Tito/DLH happens, expect a sellout at the Garden and possibly 2 million PPV buys in America. Hatton/De La Hoya would sellout Wembley which for a boxing event would be over 100,000 for a boxing event and would do over 1 million PPV buys.

DLH says that he'll fight Cotto if he can defeat Mayweather, but I doubt it. Even if he'll somehow wins in September I don't see him fighting Cotto in just two months. In fact, I don't see him fighting anyone at the end of the year, February 2009 is more logical.

So who should be his farewell opponent? Good question. Tito is out of the question because if he fights, it will be at LHW. I'd really like to see DLH fighting Mosley for the 3rd time but that's never gonna happen. Forrest and Winky are two names vs. DLH can really struggle, so an offensive minded WW fighter might be the final answer. I do see the possibility of fighting Chavez Jr., but only if Arum lets his cash-cow in the slaughter-house, because Oscar is stopping the son of the legend.

But there's still one HUGE international fight left: a welterweight showdown vs. Hatton. Why not?
