this was a fight the favorite was going to win. I thought it could gone either way but algeri was the aggresiror
115-113 or 116-112 Khan, move on, Chris fought well but Khan was just a little too fast and landed a little bit more in most rounds.
Had it 7-5. I don't see it as a draw at all, so even though 7-5 looks close, I think it was clear. Could see 8-4.
Did you just say that compubox would settle this, when they themselves showed Khan only leading by a few punches (108-96) halfway threw the fight. But Algieri had thrown like 40 more and was the aggressor, and landing the harder shots.
I had it 8-4 Khan and it could have been 7-5 or 9-3. But no way Chris won the fight and I don't like Amir at all!
I honestly saw it 116-112 Khan but rounds were close, just shows how elite Pacquiao is because Khan is a superb operator when he doesn't get rattled by a big puncher, Algieri even wobbled him but not enough power to put a spanner in the works.
I didn't score it but my impression was Khan won by a round or two. Algieri just had nothing on his shots for a lot of the fight. He's not made to fight the pressure style but much respect to him for going for it knowing it's not his forte. Also, Khan gets ktfo by Manny, Floyd, JMM, Brook, Bradley, Maidana, Garcia, Porter, Thurman, Chaves, and possibly Guerrero. And Algieri could potentially beat a few of them. Khan is extremely quick and Algieri just doesn't have anything to negate that advantage. He proved he was good enough to time Khan repeatedly, but he just can't punch at all.
7-5 algieri. If you count throwing your arms out quickly as punches then i guess thats why You think khan won it.
Algier did better then expected, if he had any power khan would of been in trouble. No doubt khan won but look vurnable at times, it might get him the mayweather fight. This wasn't the khan performance that dominated Devon Alexander not even close. That performance doesn't beat mayweather.
No it's not. Giving Algieri 3, 4 or 5 rounds are possible. anything else is absurd either way. He was getting lit up most of the fight.
Maybe I'm slightly biased toward clean and classy boxing work - perhaps the game and aggressive Algieri would have been more to the liking of some other judges. He certainly won his share of rounds and did sometimes hurt Khan.
