Amir Khan looks clearly past his physical peak. He looked slow and winded against Algieri. He looks like he's gained too much weight, possibly from weight training, and that weight seems to have only hindered his speed while not helping his power in any meaningful way.

Khan is not a "shot" fighter, per se, but he appears to be on the physical decline. Additionally, he may want to consider going back down to 140 lbs. His best attributes are his movement and speed and those look almost gone at the 147 pound weight.

Khan is screwed once he hits 30

    His speed will go
His stamina will go & looks like it's already on its way out

Honestly, I was surprised how poor he looked tonight after hearing information that he had apparently improved.

If Khan can't move and punch in combination with speed, he really doesn't have any strong boxing qualities. He has no power, and he has no chin. So he has to rely on using the whole ring and out-speeding his opponents.

I'm not sure where he goes from here. Mayweather will make Khan look like a fool, and I'm not sure how many other top level welterweights Khan can compete with in his current form.

Khan isn't declining, he just faced a decent fighter for once in his life. Maidana was alright but very slow, limited, and to be fair weakened by that body punch. Peterson made Khan look pretty bad too.

Aside from those two guys, what really good fighters has Khan fought? And both of them are just above B-level.

Could this be because of Virgil?

It's possible. But Khan used to be faster than he is now. He looks slower now, and can't seem to sustain his energy.

If it is, then he needs to split with Virgil ASAP.

Khan looks too bulked up in the upper body. I don't know who is telling him how to train, but I think he better rethink his strategy.

Alexander fight was one of his best performances, think this coulda been just a blip. We shall see.

If it was enough to win the fight and get Floyd to think hes an easy fight then couldnt have gone any better for him.

Khans one arm is much bigger than the other. He doesn't know how control the fight.

He looked the same vs Julio Diaz, slowish sluggish, I mean for his standards. But then boom against Alexander he was the fastest fighter I had ever seen put on a pair of gloves. I think he took the fight lightly along with not being serious or even a distracted and bad training camp. Hopefully it lures floyd in and Khan will go full out in training.

Khan always looks like that against taller fighters because they don't allow him to use his cowardly hit and run tactics.

Unfortunately Diaz and Algieri lacked the skills and power respectively to do anything much with their advantage.

Khan always chooses either short, reasonably skilled light punchers or occasionally taller guys with no skill and average power.

The latter make him look bad, but he usually squeaks through, the former are his ideal type of opponents and the type he has feasted on his entire career.

Occasionally his petrified team of cherry pickers make an error and pick a short heavier than expected puncher and Khan gets either knocked out or badly hurt.

As we all know, once they picked a tall heavy puncher (Prescott) and the results spoke for themselves.

In summary, Khan cannot mix it with the big boys, he just squeaks through against short, b-level light punchers and creates an illusion that he is better than he is so he can continue his deluded "I'm gonna BEAT Floyd Meeeeeerwedder!" babble.

We'd all look 'skilled' against short light punchers because there is nothing to fear and they can't get near you.

I think Tony needs to take it easy with the weights, plus Khan was in a long camp, Deffo Khan was blazing fast vs Alexander..

He looked very slow yesterday. Like he was drunk. Win or lose, Khan is usually fun to watch because of his freaky speed. Even if he doesn't always use it smart or lacks in other areas. He looked ordinary yesterday. If that is the direction he is going, he is finished. He's just a boring scared fighter with a soft vulnerable chin like this.

Hopefully, he was just sick or training dumb and realizes it and Money takes the fight and Khan fights his best.
