    Slow motion replay.

Ryder was already woozy from an uppercut on the inside that he ate while smothering in close, leaning into it looking for a hold. Blackwell then NAILED him with a left hook and Blackwell's legs turned into jelly. Granted, the follow-up attack from Blackwell didn't produce many flush connections but Ryder was staggering backward into the ropes and wasn't defending himself.

    I'm okay with the stoppage.

When you fight in the UK, never back into the ropes because you're going to get stopped. Come on now.

That was so premature. It wasn't like he was OUT ON HIS FEET.

Howard STOPTER. Meh, in some ways Ryder has shown his level he's a solid European fighter, and Eubank Jnr would destroy him.

Blackwell would have got to him again.

I knew all along that Ryder was over hyped.

Ryder was definitely hurt but Blackwell missed his last ~9 punches.

    There have been worse, guys.

Had that begun earlier in the round Blackwell would've absolutely stopped him legitimately anyway.

Has Howard Foster just set the stage for Nick Blackwell to knockout John Ryder in front of 4,000 screaming fans at Kingsmeadow Stadium in a much anticipated rematch? :think

Nah bad stoppage. Ryder was hurt but that was too soon. Well done Blackwell though. That's the third time I'm seen him fight now and I thought he was unlucky to lose in one of them (against Bursak).

How was it a good stoppage?

It was one of those British stoppages.

He backed into the ropes and he was already stopped. It wasn't like he was out on his feet at all. :patsch

I was thinking how Ryder looked visibly hurt by some of the shots Blackwell threw in the rounds before, but Blackwell didn't notice and failed to follow up. This round he did :yep
