I saw you predict Algieri winning. I think you said SD? It may have been one of the other trolls similar to you but I'm 90% sure you picked Algieri to win the result. Either way it certainly seemed a performance better than what most expected from him. In the end it comes down to how extremely overhyped (I won't say overrated, but overhyped), laughably so, that Khan has been of late. The next boogeyman indeed he has been claimed to be!
It was not me though it was someone else. My point is i was vindicated khan is a elite fighter who is very skilled and chris gave him a fight and he struggled Loads of people thought khan would at the very least destroy him
Algeri would be a decent fight is he had a little bit more power, he was landing very clean punches on Khan they just didn't have enough behind them. If he had more power Khan would have been knocked out that much is clear. Watching Algeri throw that overhand right it seemed like he couldn't turn his hand over to capitalize on the leverage, was more like a slap (obviously harder than a slap, just the way to hand hit his face).
I don't think anyone honestly ranks Algeri high at all. He has no power, average speed, and average movement and defense. He's just an all around average boxer that got matched up well against an overrated one dimensional brawler in Provodnikov and was able to out box him. He is one of the luckiest fighters in the world to position himself into some fight with big names but thats as far as he'll ever go.
