No credit from the commentators for Nick and none post-fight from Eddie Hearn either. Nick Halling has had me watching every bill in a pub in a desperate attempt to avoid a single word he says. Him laughing at the foreign journeymen getting flattened by the latest Sky hype job really used to make me sick. A grade A James Hunt.

he was losing the fight he turned it about though dont know if that was his plan to let ryder tire but he damn well deserves that belt

 

At this moment in time my girlfriend is completely fictional so she is as tidy as my little imagination wants her to be.

So she looks like a typical Jeremy Kyle guest, but with slightly less teeth.

 

Hats off to those that picked Blackwell.I have followed Ryder for a long time and thought he would win on points.

Surprised Blackwell won,not at all as many of us have said underrated.The fight was way down the bill clashing with the cup final would of been a great support fight.

Blackwell i guess most of the commentary team have only seen him on boxrec.
You see the difference if he signed for Matchroom.He has come on leaps and bounds with no amateur background,fair play to him.

I'm chuffed for Blackwell shown that he's the real deal now. Let's see Eubank Jr man up and fight him. He's a hype job in my opinion.

 

I quite like the ol' Yankball. It's a very intricate, well orchestrated and at times, complicated sport. It has been underrated outside of America for far to long. I'm glad it is starting to get some traction worldwide now.

Saying that, I can see how it would not be to everyone's tastes.

 

What gets me with Halling is the, 'He smiles as if to say' comment. He does it every bloody fight.

I thought the commentary was good for the Gavin-Brook fight when they had Malignaggi-Watt together. Malignaggi seemed to calm Watt down from his Father Ted "Drink!" mindset that becomes inexorable after a certain point.

 

Halling and Watt are well past it at this point- why don't they try out someone like Gary Lockett who occasionally does punditry or another trainer? Obviously not to comment on Blackwell's fights.

 

Yeah commentary was poor for this fight. They were making out as if Blackwell was a slugger
