from watching the post-fight interviews, im getting the impression that gavin believes that was a good performance, and deserving of another world title shot. is he deluded? he simply survived for 6 rounds without really laying a glove on brook

All the fight tells us is that Brook is better than Bundu

Gavin did what he could which was not a lot.
The public was not deceived in any way - Frankie was a bum for hire who did his job- make the champion look 'great'

    Gavin is a good fighter.

Thing is, he probably should be a Light Welter and Brook is a big Welter - you could tell as soon as the first bell wrang that it would be too big a job for him.

For his level that wasn't a bad performance at all. But if he actually believes that merits another titleshot he's completely wonko.
Moreso because he clearly doesn't deserve a rematch in any stretch of imagination and the only other beltholder in the division is Floyd :D

I don't think he's got 'it' mentally. His fights a weight class above what he should plain for all to see at the weigh in.. Brook shredded to sin and Frankie looked like he could still have shifted a few lbs.- his family life is settled and that seems where his focus is. Nothing wrong with that but I cant see him winning anything more than the British title. His comments after the fight seemed to suggest he was happy with a one sided loosing performance.

Good technician - but he just doesn't have the athletic ability to back up

Do you guys think he will drop to 140? His skills will b far better utilised where he can't be so easily overpowered
