Yep, big waste of skill. At 28, he is no spring chicken either. He looked too big to have ever been able to compete at 126 for very long, so I don't think he would have contributed too much to 126; but he could have made 130 a bit easier and fought Uchiyama, a great fight in itself. I wouldn't have minded seeing Gamboa fight him at 130 or compete at 126, where he looked beastly.

 

It's so freaking annoying a boxer as good as he is, is so inactive. Just a damn shame.

He has the talent but he just doesn't care about boxing

Im not sure what his deal is exactly.

Any recent interviews Ive seen recently, hes been saying he wants to get back as soon as possible, but other factors are holding him back.

Its like someone(arum?), is locking him down with legal issues

That was all settled a year back

He wouldnt be saying "I want to get back in the ring tomorrow" if he actually didnt want to honor his contract

Sadly for you all those fights are thing of the past lazy Garcia want to compete at 140lbs, He will be another underachieving that only want to fight for a lot of money a la Ward.
