gavin thinks that was a good performance

    He has been quoted many times as saying he can't make 140lb.

    With the right dieting and conditioning he could of done a few years ago can't see him now.

    There were little glimpses of the skill Gavin posses, but ultimately this fight is just more proof that he does not belong at that weight class.

    At times he countered well, but his power and strength disadvantages gave him little chance against Kell. He has to move to light-welterweight or else he won't go any further than European level.

    what skills you seen the state of his boat race didn't realize he is 30 years of age

    The skills that won him Britain's first ever amateur world title against Alexi Tischenko, who at the time was p4p the best amateur around!

    Also didn't realise he was 30 though. I've always really liked Gavin, as he was around at a time when I followed the amateur circuit closely, but at the end of the day it seems he doesn't haven't the psychological skills required to be a world champion. He doesn't convince me in his interviews (particularly after the Brook fight) that he really has the belief that he can compete at the highest level in the pro game. Still, would like to see him go down a weight and give it another crack.
