Guys not everybody is De La Hoya who faces every badass on the face of the Earth. It's like he was trying to get brain damage.

Cotto has been there done that. He's done and accomplished everything he's going to accomplish in his career.

If he does not want to take another massive beatdown then so be it.

He's not a young and hungry fighter. It is what it is.

Exactly, he's already proved himself, plus he's got acouple of fights left, can't blame the dude cause I think it would be Margo 1, just not prolonged and he'd get sparked.

That's a nice position for Cotto to be in.

Geale was not good when Golovkin easily knocked him out in the 3rd round, but now Geale is the best when Cotto fights him at a catch weight.........................Cotto is a coward when it comes to fighting Golovkin, Cotto would have zero chance and he knows it. Cotto will give up his title rather than fight Golovkin, let the coward run. If Cotto holds the 160 lb. belt, then he should fight at 160, but at a catch weight of 157? Golovkin did not fight at a catch weight.............

I like cotto, but if he wants to play victim and avoid other belt holders at 160 - i have no sympathy for him if he loses his belt. He's in the twilight of his career so i get that he needs to protect himself, but don't play victim. Just say you don't want to fight the man.

Of course Cotto should vacate. That's better than going around with a GGG -caused hole in your face for the rest of your life. Really, he has no business being at 160 in the first place.

I hope Geale drills him well.

I feel for Cotto in one respect, when he took the fight with Sergio it was a big move and a hyped fight. Who would've known that the bottom could fall out of the middleweight division so quickly and leave GGG all alone licking his lips?
I don't think anyone ever expected Cotto to be a serious MW player but unfortunately he is cornered. His management and the Floyd situation exposed him, he should've vacated immediately, cashing in on the Sergio fight and getting his ass back to JMW.
