Lara is better than Floyd

Last time i checked, Lara lost to Canelo.

 

What's all the hype with Lara? He hits a little harder than Willie Monroe jr., nothing more than that.

 

Why did Floyd look more dominant against Canelo then? I think Lara won personally. But, MOST felt he ran just a bit too much. He's not better than Floyd. But, I'd give him a good chance h2h. He has the overall size advantage. He's very athletic and fights well on the back foot. But, Floyd knows how to win rounds, whether he is coming forward or going backwards. It would be a competitive fight. But, I give Floyd the edge. Lara would have trouble with Floyd's speed and defense.

 

Not yet, but if Floyd lingers too long in the game...

 

Mayweather is a much more well rounded fighter than Lara.
However styles make fights Lara is all wrong for Floyd.
Bigger, taller, longer, southpaw. May hasn't fought an elite slick fighter. Stylistically this is one of the toughest fights out there for May

With all that said, Lara is virtually unknown and brings very little to the table.

High risk extremely low reward. NO ONE cares about this fight besides maybe some Cubans ha, if May fights above 147 the only fights that spark public interest are Canelo, Cotto, GGG.

 

I think he's atleast a match for Floyd and i think it would be a very competitive fight. Is he better than Floyd?

I don't think so. If you take into account Floyd's not really a junior middleweight than i'd say Lara only really holds the size over him.


I always thought a Lara type of fighter would give Floyd all he could handle.


Cotto troubled Floyd and in reality the same Cotto lost to Austin Trout who got easily beaten by Lara.


Although it's triangle theories and it obviously doesn't work that way but i guess in some minor cases.


Lara would give him al lhe could handle and then some. He'd be his toughest test around that weight other than Golovkin.

 

I wouldn't exactly brag about the fact that Angulo was able to drag Lara into a war.

He's a very good fighter but isn't better than Floyd at ... well, anything.

 

Physically and stylistically (speed,offense and defense), I think he is as close to Floyd as anyone is going to get right now. He is a bad matchup for nearly anyone in any of the weight classes around him. No matter what you're not going to look good against him.

lara cane be a badass once in a while but saying he is near floyds level is borderline mentally challenged.

Floyd stood in the pocket and beat up canelo (Floyds or ANYONES) best win in a decade.

canelo is proving how much of a badass he is fight in fight out. he is a very tough guy icompete with never mind beat, AND lara was deadly afraid of him during the fight, sorry ( not afraid ) but smart enough to know he was getting blasted out in brutal career changing beat down if he found canelo anywhere close to the way he fought Angulo.

canelo is not only a badass that will go with anyone claims to this day Floyd is by far the best and badly wants him in the ring again.

lara as great as Floyd. LMFAO, Floyd is a true ATG near the very top while lara is a good fighter currently who could be a tough out for anyone.

way too many butt hurr pac fans still crying and in shock on how easily Floyd beat pac. pac was never truly in the fight. I had it pretty close after 6 line 4/2Floyd AND that was giving pac a round IF he landed a clean effective shot.

then after 6 Floyd whitewashed him like he does everyone except chino 1 and jlc 1. still gutting both out getting the W;s which proved how much of a warrior he is.

and chino 1, Floyd was a mess. didn't even want to fight. his x had abortions and was cheating on him then left him. if anyone has been through true heart break there is NO way you can concentrate of even care all that much about a fight he was expecting the opposite of what he got.

I always loved chino, but after that first fight he has all my and should be every single person on boxings mad respect. that was truly a way tough and closer fight than thre 1st jlc fight.

Floyd had proved fight after fight he can find a way to bear anyone, might be ugly to some but I love how he reacts when he gets beaten up for a couple rounds.
