Out of all known quantities among the current welterweights.....at the present moment...

Khan seems to be the only legitimate challenger left.

A year or so down the line and perhaps Brook or Thurman would be too...

I think Khan and then a Pacman rematch are a plausible scenario.

I'd be shocked if Pacquiao is able to fight in December. That means a two month training camp so able to start training in October. Idk man. The dude is still on bed rest practically and starts rehabilitation ...maybe tomorrow? He's flying back to America to do rehab, and it's suppose to start 30 days after the "no moving your shoulder" phase. I heard that it's going to be SO painful and will suck. :scaredas:

Though, I agree. Mayweather would prefer Pac to fight a tough opponent first (not knock anyone out, don't want to scare him away) as to help promote the fight. Then again, for all we know, Mayweather probably thinks he alone sells the fight.

Why would Mayweather be scared? :huh

he already beat Pacquaio and easy. It wasn't competitive. I think the best thing for Pacquiao to do would be to rehab the shoulder and hope to fight Mayweather in April or May.

If Pacquiao puts on a brilliant performance, then he'd be shooting himself in the foot for a rematch. Mayweather didn't want the first fight, but he found fortunately found out that Pacquiao wasn't the monster he was expecting in the ring. That's great. Floyd then says, give me rematch.

However, if Mayweather sees Pac put on a brilliant performance and gets the idea or is convinced that Pac truly was injured in their first fight, then Mayweather will see him to risky again and won't fight him.

Oh come on, buffster. You can't believe all that. Pac put on a pretty brilliant performance prior to the May 2nd fight.

See him too risky :patsch LMFAO you're a true clown antonio. Excusequiao is a dumb, limited fighter and has never been a real challenge to Floyd. Excusequiao was made by Arum.

I don't know if Khan is definitely the opponent.

One thing is for sure, if he is being selected as the opponent, he better keep his mouth shut. I'm pretty sure he's done this before and it ended up making Mayweather upset, reneging on the contract and fighting Maidana instead.

FLoyd likes to announce the fight befoe anyone else, including networks, make mention of it.

Against Chris Algieri, and Floyd didn't want the fight. Now he isn't obligated to fight again. So, if Floyd thinks Pac looks too dangerous, he won't be pressured to fight him again. Mayweather continuing to think the shoulder as an excuse is crucial. I promise. It's how he is with pac. He's always looked at pac as this different animal, now he doesn't look at him like that anymore. If pac wants a rematch it'll have to continue that way.
