Bro, Mundine took Geale's IBO title in their first fight. He should have got the nod in the rematch too.

Also he hurt Geale badly and put him down.

I know the point you're trying to make but but check your facts.

LOL. Any suspicion about Manny being on PED's isn't because of backne. It's more to do with how he was able to run through guys who were naturally bigger and at the same time while moving up in weight retained speed and power. He also was throwing many more punches per round/fight than he is now.

You're right, I stand corrected. My point still stands.

From what I saw, his technique has changed which allows him to deliver a more devastating punch. Could be something else too. I won't accuse him of anything but he did lift Geale off his feet with that left hook. I think he wanted to send a message to GGG and I believe he did. GGG didn't get any camera time after that.

We're in the same boat. The casuals on here have been using the backne excuse for sometime now ever since their idol got KTFO. Of course, they go into full denial when Manny has backne too.

True but Mayorga was shot to **** and had already been knocked out and much sooner by Tito and De La Hoya.

Ha ha. Yeah, and people would be surprised how many boxers suffer from acne on their face and back. They sweat a lot in hot gyms and it's normal for pimples to form in those conditions.

Yep, saw how he lifted him with that hook. That was ala Foreman against Frazier!

Look, I know Freddie is a great trainer and an offensive one to boot. I am just saying that it seems crazy how hard he is punching nowadays at 34 and against durable opponents who outweight him on fight night by 15 to 20 pounds.

You didn't get my point. Gaele was drained silly for Cotto fight, making him much more vulnerable to body shots and unable to take hits.

GGG broke down a healthy version of Gaele. Cotto did seemingly the same to a MUCH weaker version, coming off a previous knockout loss that could also have affected his ability to take a punch.

I will absolutely guarantee a natryal hard punching middle like GGG hits harder but cotto does hit hard and times it very well

Yes, power is the last to go but your testosterone begins to drop at age 30, not increase. At 34, power should be slightly less and should not appear to be increasing as you take on naturally larger men. If Cotto was blazing fast like Roy Jones in his prime and was nailing dudes with shots they didn't see coming one could argue that point, but it's not the case.

We'll never know what would have happened if Cotto had fought Geale at 160 but one could also argue that GGG softened Geale up for Cotto regardless of what weight the fight was fought at. There's a decent chance that Cotto would have done the same thing to Geale if they had fought at 160 before or after the GGG fight. From the eyeball test, Cotto is hitting harder than ever and is running through bigger opponents than ever. His power appears to me to be either on par with or very close to that of GGG which makes no sense whatsoever.

Geale quit in both fights, a single punch from GGG and a flurry from Cotto.

Both produced single punch kds from punches he didn't see coming.GGG seemed to have more damaging single shot power.
