Martin Murray signed with Matchroom

I don't knock British fighters, two shakes. Why do you think I do?
I have a high regard for Quigg. I just wanted to redress the balance a bit with people who were totally over rating Murray, that's all.

Strange decision moving up as he has no chance against smith, degale or froch and that's just the matchroom stable. Really think his best chance of a title is at middleweight. Loses his size advantage moving up.

He'd have beaten Macklin pretty easily in my opinion. I think a healthy Barker would have boxed Matthew to a wide UD too.

 

Of all the UK fighters out there, I always though Murray was the least talked about despite being one of the best these last few years. Should gotten the win against Sturm in Germany and probably won a close decision in a neutral country against Martinez. Also the fact he was able to go 11 rounds with Triple G and had the fight stopped when he was still on his feet.

Not sure I fancy him at super-middle, but great he's signed to Matchroom and finally will get the exposure he deserves. I love watching him fight and feel he's underrated.

Lacks power though and while he's very solid he doesn't have much movement and is quite one-dimensional (despite very good at it), so at super-middle I can't really see it working out :/
