floyd dominated both cotto and canelo...not much difference there. cotto did bloody floyd's nose, though. he had a little success in the mid rounds, so i guess he wins out in this comparison. trout beat cotto and he arguably beat canelo. take away the kd from the canelo fight, it's really a tossup as to who, between cotto and canelo, did better against trout....but gotta give the edge to canelo just because the kd happened and he got the decision. ssm: ssm was still near his prime when he fought cotto...and i thought shane won by a big margin. by the time shane went up against canelo he was too old and too small...had nothing to offer in terms of resistance....so,a shane comparison doesn't count. based on their mutual opponents, fight should be a pick-em. both guys with some skills and power. gonna go with canelo just for the youth factor, though.

no one in their right mind could argue that. it was easy canelo win. with the open scoring he knew how far ahead he was so he didn't have to try to win, he just maintained the easy rounds. trout literally had two real rounds of success and that was because canelo laid on the ropes. their common opponents mean zero just like ever single common opponent of other fighters
I'm definitely rooting for Canelo for this fight for a couple of reasons. Canelo is the future and Cotto is getting ready to retire. Canelo is also an exciting fighter who has recently been taking on the fighters he seemed to be avoiding a couple years ago. However that said I don't like his chances in this fight. Cotto definitely won a couple of rounds against Mayweather and was able to hurt him. Cotto did what others have struggled to do and made Mayweather fight. Canelo on the other hand tried playing it safe, tried countering Mayweather and was pretty much white washed. I think Cotto's experience is what makes the difference in this fight and I think Canelo is still a bit green when it comes to the elite level.

Cotto has outperformed canelo 3 times to 1 (trout) I like how canelo struggled and had the ref stopping the fight prematurely vs gomez. And cotto easily beat the sh*t out of gomez
