First show tonight for the sister gym of the MGM lads. It must be said that there aren't any fights on it that capture the imagination, the higher profile fighters in John Thain and David Brophy are both just in keep busy fights but nonetheless it's great to see a set up with a potentially very high profile given their connections getting started in Scotland and giving some of the old guard a run for their money. I'm excited at the thought of Ross Henderson taking on the pro game, as a Scot it's nice to see a heavyweight potentially breaking through as we've hardly been spoilt with them over the years. Good luck tonight MGM Scotland, hope it's a success.
Be good to see Ross Henderson also, more talented than Cornish and he has a much superior Amateur background
Enjoyed that tonight brophy stepped it up in the later rounds and got the win. Seen some famous faces and had a wee blether with James helder nice guy. Went for a slash and couldn't get back in as ad lost my ticket and didn't have a sleazy band... who saved the day for me? ESB most famous son Billy Nelson! What's the chances. Thanks billy
Stepped it up, he should be taking guys like this out. His power would be a concern for me as it simply ain't there.
you don't need power to win fights all the time mate, you can easily have a gameplan for someone who possesses power, much harder to have a game plan for someone with a very high workrate, who cuts off the ring well and who has a decent dig. Do remember David hasn't fought since Oct last year, from the beginning of round four he upped his game and was hurting Darren,(Darren admitted as much) IMO David will come on leaps and bounds for last night and hopefully get out soon and move forward.
maybe you should try it yourself then you may not be so critical of others who have the ***** to do it?atsch
Am not the one who's attempting to make a living out of it, your point is completely and utterly irrelevant. I stand by my comment that Henderson is extremely limited. Are you honestly saying that anyone who is not a professional boxer is not entitled to an opinion?
not at all, although I'd value your opinion more if you actually knew what it was like to be a pro fighter and what they put themselves through, Ross trained extremely hard for the last four month and was primed for last night, however it wasn't to be. I wonder how you'd take criticism in your place of work by someone you don't know.
Give me you reasoning as to why David should be taking people like Darren out? Surely if you've not boxed since Oct it's best served to get some rounds in, there is one reason why your thoughts mean nothing to me or many on here! Bye
Am not disputing if he had trained hard or not and I know guys who have boxed at a very high level so I am not naive enough to not know the level if dedication required. Point taken regarding getting the rounds in but he's knocked out 1 person in 14 bouts, lack of power must surely be a concern? You honestly do yourself no favours on here with your condescending tone, embarrassing at times for a guy who's representing these boys.
