Apart from the fact Ali was not prime for any of the Frazier fights having spent over 3 years in enforced exile, Frazier's head and face are proof positive of the amount of punishment Ali inflicted.

Furthermore if you believe nodding your head up and down like an orthodox Jew standing before the wailing wall constitutes defence it is merely further proof you have less than no idea what you are talking about.

Pulev and Jennings are limited heavies whose resumes are SH*T
both have had their limitations thoroughly exposed by the champion,as did the other dross before them, neither will go on to do anything just as Wach and Pianeta will not.

The pertinent factors are these.

Frazier faced one guy significantly bigger than him with great power and was obliterated twice.

Klitchko for all his faults was never dropped or stopped by a comparative midget like Joe.

 

The only ATG by far that he ever fought was Lewis. Lewis stopped him.

Chuvalo stated that Frazier had the best defense of any fighter he ever fought. I would not say he was that good but his head movement made him able to slip and duck many shots. Of course high volume punchers like Ali is going to hit you. Frazier did however make him miss many shots. B

 

I'm just trying to remember who wlad has fought even approaching the quality of frazier .

If wlad approaches a fight with frazier with his usual safety first jab and grab approach then most definitely the referee as suggested earlier has a major role to play here . If wlad isn't allowed to grab as much as usual then we have a possibly classic fight with the smaller more aggressive man chopping the giant down while having to drive himself on while taking his lumps . Frazier is capable of such a feat and wlad is also capable of imploding mentally when put under such pressure and how will he cope with being hurt repeatedly . Would steward change wlad's strategy for this fight would he have wlad train to use his size differently than usual . Could wlad be mentally strong enough to continue such an approach if stung early and he himself not have early success like foreman managed in Jamaica . Personally here I like frazier but I accept I'm in the minority

 

Pulev has a good jab, decent footwork, an average right to the body, sturdy mentality.
Jennings is quite fast, has a decent inside uppercut, good stamina, good chin, fair movement.

Wach is a plodding chin, only a chin with size, some stamina, ultra slow and stiff, he makes hard work knocking out journeyman.
Leapai is a shorter rounder plodder with a lesser chin but slightly more power but he doesn't land much against anyone half decent.
Mormeck was a 5'10 slow rusty and chinny cruiserweight who had no business at hw nevermind fighting for the title.

I'd give pulev jennings a C+

Wach a D
Leapai an E
Mormeck an F

Even the skinny Light Heavy Foster was punching Frazier at will. This wasn't a guy going in to survive, he actually fancied the job, and the easier he landed the more his confidence grew ( unfortunately for him )

Now Foster was NEVER known as a high volume puncher, so why you try to use Ali as a barometer of how hard Frazier was to hit, makes no sense.

Joe Bugner threw less punches per fight than one cares to think about, yet even he had Frazier's face looking like a bag of bollox.

Do yourself a favour, and either stop repeating this nonsense about Frazier being anything like difficult to hit, or follow another sport.

You are embarrassing yourself with such drivel.

No one in the world with the possible exception of you, would claim Frazier was anything other than a guy who was willing to walk through any amount of punishment to dish out his own. Defensive skill and elusiveness were alien to him.
