Back in the days boxing was less of a business. You had real fighters in there.

Floyd has made enough bucks. It is time to pick up a real challenge like a true ATG would do. :deal

He's 38, you're making him out to be in his prime.

And stop with the boxing was less of a business back than talk nonsense. people who say generalized statements like that make me question their knowledge of the history of the sport.

Boxing being a business has been going on for damn near 100 years now. Jack Dempsey started fighting once every year to 2 years after he picked up the HW title and only cared about his big purses at that juncture.

The great Ray RObinson, Mr P4P king, was his own promoter and probably the toughest guy to negotiate a fight with in the history of the sport. he'd sign a contract and leading into the fight if he didn't like certain stipulations on the contract (i.e. he wanted a bigger purse,) he'd start making threats of cancelling the fight unless he got what he wanted. He did this MANY times in his career.

Interestingly enough with the Sugar man, he hated boxing and mentioned many times he only did it for the money, not for the legacy. Does that make him any less of a P4P stalwart?

So stop with the "boxing was more about the best fighting the best" garbage. It's such hyperbole.

    Stop making excuses

Just to give a few examples, Duran was 38 when he beat up Barkley. Toney was 35-38 when he fought the Holyfields, Sam Peter, hasim Rahma etc. That being said, Floyd is a young 38 year old.

Do not even mention little Floyd and Robinson in the same sentence. The great Robinson had 200 fights, fought everybody.:deal

Duran beat Barkely by SD in a war, floored him with a right hand and had him out on his feet the last two rounds....

If you don't see how ret@rded you are for claiming a Welterweight is ducking a shameless Middleweight then your problems go far and beyond mental disaster.

Doesn't Floyd hold a belt at middle weight? Well then tell him to stop pretending and move back down where he belongs or be prepared to have the best call you out at that weight. Simple as that he's just a pretender time to fu.ck off already and retire so the men can fight.

ggg doesnt even fight at 54. We also have no indication that he can make the weight and be healthy doing so.

Floyd still having titles at 54 is a problem with the sanctioning bodies not floyd.

ggg fights floyd at 54 and gets beat the excuse will be he was drained.
