"FACT: Ramirez has 24 KOs, but only 3 have come after 6 rounds & none after 8. Seems poised to break it here."

They need to stop this fight. Edwards' corner sucks. He's done.

While not pretty, Wade vs. Soliman is at least somewhat competitive. I think I made the right choice..

Gilberto Ramirez is an excellent talent, dynamic, and very fun to watch in his fights. But his career arc has been rising very slowly, as even though he is now 32-0, he has yet to face anyone remotely close to a Top 20 ranking. His two fights this year, against Vlasov, BoxRec's current #40 ranked light heavyweight, and now tonight against Edwards, BoxRec's current #46 ranked super middleweight, are almost certainly the two highest-ranked opponents he's fought to date. In and of itself, I don't have a problem with that, because I get that he's only been fighting outside Mexico for less than two years, although I still think it's bizarre that someone with his talents is being brought along so slowly. But when postfight interviews start mentioning the possibility of world title fights, I get REAL queasy, and I start thinking that maybe this guy wants to take the path of least resistance to get to a world title fight. I want to root for Ramirez, but he REALLY needs to SERIOUSLY step up the level of his competition.

pretty certain he's earned a top 1-3 ranking in all 4 if the Major orgs.

And don't discount the Vlasov win.....he's got great talent but his whole career has been being overshadowed due to the pts loss to Chilemba.

Vlasov is easily a top 10 LHW
