Given the numerous comments that both men have fired at each other over the years (Froch saying Khan is chinny, Khan saying he's headlined Vegas and Froch hasn't), I'm intrigued to know what is the reason behind the feud. In Froch's defence he gave a very good ****ysis of why Khan should fight Brook after Brook beat Dan but the majority of comments from the pair of them seem to be snide and petty and the obvious weight difference means they won't fight. What started the feud?

i thought it started when froch said he would retire if he lost like khan lost to D Garcia, then the McCracken / khans brother issue happened afterwards.

It started in 2008 when Froch told ITV after the Prescott defeat that Khan's career was over

Way back when Khan got Ko'd by Prescott Froch said it would be near impossible for Khan to ever go further than he is now because he cant take a punch. Since then Khan went on unified 140 and became a big name in the US whilst Carl was getting no attention and paid peanuts, so he decided to carry on belittling Khans career to gain attention.

It was an interview done by ITV, it was on Sky though. Its on youtube somewhere, they asked a few fighters and pundits about Khans knockout loss.

It was indeed, I don't think Froch was a pundit for the fight either, as at the time he was still with Hennessy and not fighting on Sky.

All Froch seems to say that it's a tough road back and points out what everyone else was saying about Khan after the Prescott fight. Not sure what has happened since then to make them evidently dislike each other so much

Khan didn't unify all the belts. He never boxed for the WBO and in his attempt for the WBC got stopped in the 4th round.

Carl Froch has problems with absolutely anybody who has an opinion different to the one that says Froch is the best thing ever to happen to British boxing.

Amir Khan, Frankie Gavin, Joe Calzaghe, Nigel Benn, George Groves... The fact of the matter is that Carl Froch is highly insecure, and when you have an insecure ego-maniac in the public eye they tend to fall out with people regularly.
