    Groves.
In my mind its an easy nights work for Groves who wins inside schedule.
I am not convinced that C Smith will be able to take that big a step up.
I think SMW is at a weak time overall, and dont think C Smith or R Fielding would have beaten D Starie or D Francis of a few years back.

Groves would out-box Smith and win by a wide decision.

I agree its weak although I say Smith could take the world titles off Abe, Jack and Chudinov without much trouble. Likewise Fielding

I would say though that SMW is my overall favourite division, which it has been for many years

Think a top form Groves wins pretty comfortably.

Groves able to take centre of the ring against Rebrasse. Smith wasn't.

Groves would do well to go back to Booth regardless. Every full camp he's had with Fitzgerald he's looked **** come fight night and a shadow of the fighter that fought Froch in the first fight.

Groves too chinny and looks like he really still feeling the effects of being 'cobra'd' tbh- that kind of K.O will affect any fighter in future bouts. Groves best attributes were his guts and his inside work, feel since that K.O to Froch he is now more timid in the ring and less willing to fight on the inside and take punches to get his best shots in!! If it were right now I'd say Groves probably on points but after another tough fight against Jack that Groves faces and 12 more months of development for Smith I see him ending Groves career if they fight then!!

Groves got hit a lot more frequent by Rebrasse than Callum Smith did, look at state of his face at the end. Callum Smith showed v Rebrasse he has better stanima and Ring IQ than Groves, as I have always said he beats Groves. I believe he would stop Groves as Groves would attack him alot and have his fair share of success in fight, and this would leave him open and Callum would take advantage

Let's remember when Groves went in with Rebrasse he was coming off the back of Froch & Wembley... It would be hard to get yourself up for a fight against someone who at the time nobody really knew much about after such a mega event.

Long training camps with no breaks, he won comfortably for me but yeah he did look a little flat and for me that's because his body needed a rest.

The Rebrasse fight was all about turning the page on Froch/Groves. He wasn't 100%.

Don't really think it's a case of being a "true pro" or not.

From following Groves career he seems to be a bit of a gym rat, all I'm saying is and I think it's a fair point... 8 or so weeks after fighting in the national stadium in front of a huge crowd (80,000 apparently.....) which was such a massive event, it would be tough to get yourself up for a fight and put yourself through another camp against a relative unknown.

I think that would make most fighters not true pro's then. Including Froch in the 1st Groves fight

better stamina maybe ring I.Q definitely not, it would be a good fight but groves would win far to busy for smith, smith has no head movement and his power is only in his body shots, lets be honest smith still hasn't faced a big puncher rebrasse even though is very game and has a great chin does not have world class power where as groves does. If the fight went past 8 rounds would maybe favour smith a bit more but I think he gets stopped within rounds 3-5

Agreed. And about 60% of the top fighters throughout it's history have been Brits- and with DeGale, Groves, Smith, Fielding, Murray, Bugloni, possibly Froch knocking about it's not going to change anytime soon either.
