Since boxers are a composite of skill, physical attributes and heart we tend to see that fighters take on a style that caters to their skillset.

    Some prototypical examples

    Technicians
    -Marquez
    -Hopkins

    Physical Freaks
    -Pacquiao
    -Jones Jr.

    Spirited Fighters
    -Holyfield
    -DLH

Which is your favorite type of fighter? I think for me I prefer the physically gifted fighters and guys with tremendous heart more than the technicians.

Physical freaks. So anything that's just abnormal or rare. Freakish power, crazy reflexes, rare speed + power.

I like big drama shows as well. Mexican style, Mike Tyson style ;]

I think a lot of times you get combos of these, but if we're going to be very general and I have to choose I have to say I like technicians the most big time, I actually sometimes dislike fighters who are physically gifted but don't have the technique to compliment it, it just seems like a waste to me.

I like a good war every now and then so yeah, I certainly like spirited fighters but still, I wouldn't necessarily go and watch careers of guys who are primarily known for their heart and not much else.

    Personally the technicians.
Boxers who go inside and brawl, Mexican style.

But to be honest, if it's not boring I'll watch.

I don't think physically gifted fighters who don't have much skill go to waste.

Pacquiao never really learned to cut off the ring. Or learned much of a right hand. Or learned much of an inside game. Or learned how to really block.

He still had a good career though.

Probably the sweet-scientist types: Mayweather, Marquez, Lomachenko, Rigo, Ward etc...

Not that those guys fight alike, but i really enjoy thoughtful fighters

Sure, I agree but I still often think to myself "if he did this he'd be even better" when I watch guys like Pacquiao, and then you've got guys like Broner, Berto and whatever who are exceptionally athletic but have little boxing skill, that's when it's a true shame.

A complete fighter. Becoming rarer every year. Fighters like Sal Sanchez, Mike McCallum, Evander Holyfield, Ricardo Lopez. Speed, power, chin, defense, offense, infight, jab, counterpunch, body attack, and heart never questioned. Looked forward to see them fight.

I like to watch fighters in my weight class, with the same physical attributes I have.
