How is it GGG's fault if no one wants to fight him? I see a lot of hating against GGG these days .. The list goes on. :bbb
Hell, let's see if Haymon lets his little track star at HBO. Who else is there from the big names? The numer of guys ducking Golovkin is getting downright ridiculous right now.
Now that Jacobs is set to fight Mora, Lara appears to be the best fight for GGG. He's the single opponent who'd take the fight and would be a highly credible win (barring the haters). He'd get no credit for the likes of Eubank Jr or.. or... well who else is left? lol
So you agree that the big guys (Ward/Froch) and DL are avoiding the fight and you ask about Lara , who never mentioned GGG name after his fight , but before the fight he name dropped him non stop , where is Lara now ? can he call him out now that they are both free with no fight to promote ? Then ppl say he goes after smaller guys when the FACT is that LD/Froch/Ward wont fight him NEXT , but in the future , nice....
Lara hasn't fought on HBO since 2012 and that was because Top Rank won a purse bid for the Vanes fight. Al Haymon is PAYING other networks to put fights on those networks. Luis DeCubas Jr hasn't contacted anyone to let them know if Lara can fight on HBO or not. They've been silent since Lara's post fight interview a few weeks ago. That's what is going on with Lara...He doesn't want this fight.
Degale makes more money in the UK even though he's nowhere near the better fight. Degale won't beat the **** out of Froch (not saying GGG wouldn't get it in return), he is with the same promoter and has Froch's old belt. It depends whether Froch can get motivated for another domestic dust up after a very bitter rivalry with Groves, seems like a weak rehash to me.
The way I see it, it's simple; GGG and Abel Sanchez WON'T SHUT UP about wanting to fight Froch, Chavez, Canelo, Cotto or Mayweather. They don't go two days without mentioning one of them. Now all of a sudden we hear that he has offered Ward three contracts, and Abel Sanchez hasn't said a peep about it? Why not just come out in public and say "we're fighting on Sept XX, and want Ward at 168 or Lara at 154 or 160." Otherwise I think it's bull****. And I like GGG.
So you're saying his opponents are making tha excuses for him? De La Hoya said He's not gonna let Canelo or Lemieux go anywhere near GGG, Ward himself said he needed 2 tune up fights, Froch has been quiet ever since GGG called him out. How is any of this GGG's fault? Btw I think Ward beats him.
It'd be smart if Haymon did. Lara isn't one of his crown jewels ratings wise, and it'd help deflate the claims that he won't work with others to make good fights. And, if Lara somehow wins, he's got a much more valuable fighter and another title coming back to PBC. In other words, Lara is the perfect guy for Al to send over to HBO for a shot. Let's see if bad politics trumps good business...
