You do know, and I have it on DVD where Kessler said before and after the fight there was no hand problem.
Still Bat, you go and say opposite to Kessler if thats what it takes

Why do you feel the judging was dodgy first time? I scored the 2nd fight a draw but if I had to score the fight as one big round would give it to Hopkins, but couldnt another KD have been scored against Hopkins in the first fight?

Its true though. He had it surgically repaired after the fight. All I'm asking is for you to treat everybody fairly and not pick and choose regarding the info you base your opinions on. It makes you seem very biased and agenda-driven.

Dont think the IBO was on the line against Calzaghe. What sport you watching?

I think thats the Basketball league in America. What sport you watching?

Saying all that doesn't change the facts that Calzaghe never one a world title at LHW. He had the opportunity to, Chad Dawson offered Calzaghe the chance to become a legit 2 weight world champion, but Calzaghe had other plans as we all know.

Being two weight world champion is better than being one weight world champion. Calzaghe only held legit titles in one weight class. So it does matter.

You obviously dont understand what and how the lineal title is held/transfered and so on. So I think the best thing to do is to set you some homework so you can hopefully get on the same page as others. Complete the following then come back to me:-

    1. What does vacated mean?
    2. List the true lineal LHW champions from 1996 to present.
    3. Is it possible to say "Lance_Uppercut" vacated his status as the ESB punchbag?:think Even though we cant find a link to prove he said he "vacated" it?:huh

There you go sir, simple homework for you to complete I will give you extended deadline of 1 week.

Calzaghe never represented the true lineage as you agree, and time had it that the true lineage and the Ring Title both happened to be vacant when Dawson and Pascal, the #1 and #2 fought leaving no confusion who the lineal champ was. Hopkins then beat the winner and became the True Lineal LHW champ a honour Calzaghe never tasted.

But make sure you complete the homework I set you as it will also help your problems on this part of the post.

Thus you agree, Calzaghe never was the true lineal LHW champ. That part of the discussion is over.

    Complete the homework.

That the Team Elite lineal LHW title, not the legit one. Re read that post.

    Calzaghe one weight lineal champ.:deal

Calzaghe got controversial SD over Hopkins and ducked a rematch.

    I already answered that before

I rate the wins over Trinidad, Tarver, Pascal to be greater than controversial SD Hopkins, hometown advantage one handed Kessler, and past best Semi Retired, semi cruiserweight Chris Eubank.

Hopkins dominated his best wins, even knocked his opponents out hardly lost rounds. Eubank, Kessler and Hopkins must have won a dozen on even more rounds between them out of 36.

Anyway man, the homework has been set and it is upon you to be a good student and complete it.

he means they HAD held the IBO title (ie they are even more watered down that current IBO holder (Hopkins opponent).

Failey is basically admitting that calzaghe fought worse opponents than Joe.

very true failey, very true, everyone agreeswith that.

yeah calzaghe was never capable of winning a title at LHW, true. he never proved capable of defending a unified title at smw even, apart from in one fight, which scared him enough to drop the title and run back to the wbo.

If Clev and Braehmar were able to win a title at LHW then Calzaghe was probably more than capable of winning one too.

Calzaghe could have faced Tarver for the IBF, Dawson for the WBC and or the IBF, Diaconu for the WBC, Garay for the WBA, or Erdei for the WBO during his LHW days. (Thats not included the likes of Pascal, Hopkins just after his retirement or Woods, Roy Jones, Glen Johnson, DM during his SMW days.)

I think Tarver packed too much of a punch for Calzaghe who was dropped against old Hopkins and Jones so that was a risky fight for Joe. The thing with Tarver he would shell up when attacked and Calzaghe had good slapping technique that made his opponents shell up. But Tarver chin and carrying his power the full 15 rounds make him dangerous for Slappy who was displaying signs of a shaky chin at LHW.

Dawson would have been a good fight but I dont think Calzaghe fancied his chances against the slick rangy southpaw. Dawson also wasn't a big enough name but was undefeated and on HBO.

The other three, Diaconu, Erdei and Garay were not big enough names, but in Wales Calzaghe could have sold big he had a strong platform. Zaggers probably beats the other three but in fairly tough fights. Tougher than a shot Jones Jr anyway.

The guy was a joke at times.

If he didn't want to fight a guy, he trotted out the line "I don't rate them, they've done nothing..."

    How convenient.

He spent years telling the media that he wanted big fights, and Chad Dawson, Antonio Tarver and Kelly Pavlik would all have been big, relevant fights.

and in addition calzaghe never proved he could defend one of the bigger three titles, except for one defence against bika.

everything else apart from kessler was a prearranged wassen WBO arrangement fighting a weakling/apparent weakling.
