No I disagree there. Vera is a middleweight and was well passed his best. No surprise he retired straight after this fight. Smith would easily be fieldings best win and fielding would probably be smiths best win.

Vera recently fought Chavez Jr and clearly won the first fight. As far as I'm concerned that means he's still as good as Paul Smith who would no doubt try to say he was past it if he got KO'd.

I thought you were talking about Callum smith? Callum smith would easily be fieldings biggest win.

No sorry I meant Paul. Yes he would be and despite my rating I feel that's a fight that could go either way.

I have a feeling we won't see that anytime soon as Hearn seems to want to keep them apart.

Just saw that like Campbell documentary and in it Hearn says if there's a big fight to make in the UK he makes it thee and then. Goes on to say why wait until it's bigger. Contradiction in tea not making smith vs fielding then surely?

Would Smith v Fielding be classed as a big fight now? Perhaps he's talking world title level

But can you really envisage Coyle getting to a level any higher than he is now? Fielding and Smith can both at least get to a maybe a final eliminator.

I understand what you're saying. Just Hearn says in that documentary that he always makes the big fights when they are there that's all. Isn't Coyle vs Campbell a final eliminator?
