What Prime David Tua does to Deontay Wilder? If Artur Beterbiev KO'ed Wilder in the amateurs, then imagine what guy like Tua would do to him.
Tua was also stopped in the amateurs. Tua was only down once as a pro. Same Wilder. So basically, he and Wilder have equal chins. I image Tua vs Wilder would be a slugfest that would make Tua vs Ibeabuchi look like Byrd vs Williamson. When two iron chinned power punching warriors go toe to toe, there is only one winner...the fans.
It doesn't matter if Tua could reach Wilder's glass-jaw or not as it would only take the wind of one of his punches to shatter it all over the ring.
Tua for me. Wilder is a well above-average fighter, he may even have the seeds of greatness within him, but he hasn't done enough to convince me that he could deal with somebody like Tua.
I don't think it's true. Beterbiev fought as a heavy in the ams back in 2011. He was a LHW from 2006-2010. Beterbiev was still in the LHW division when Wilder was fighting as a HW in the amateurs. Wilder did beat Rahkkim Chakhkiev in the amateurs though.
