Honest to God...It blows my mind that people still believe that Cotto was on the verge of quitting in the second fight when he still controlled the ninth and made Margo do the bobble-head on more than one occasion. Yeah, Margo landed a bit more than he had in previous rounds, but it wasn't like he was hurting Cotto in the final stanza.

The best you can say is that he hadn't received quite as dramatic a butt kicking in the ninth as he had in the two previous rounds.

Floyd pretended to retire for two years to avoid Margarito, then came back as soon as Mosley beat Margarito.

Floyd himself didn't think he could beat Margarito. But of course his nut-huggers will always say Floyd would have won.

Oh yeah, Mayweather Baldomir's Margarito in this hypothetical match-up.

Even if Margo did beat Cotto fair and square, there is very little else on Margarito's resume. Cintron seems like a worthy mention, but that's pretty much it.

6 months after his best victory, he was annihilated by Mosley. Then, he was annihilated by Pacquiao. Then, he was soundly beaten by Cotto.

There are few reasons to suggest that Margarito was actually competitive at top level of boxing. Strong chin and stamina just aren't enough.

Funny how you didn't see Weeks let Maidana get away with murder. Typical

 Floyd would severely outclass Tony.

First and foremost, you ARE NOT BEATING FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR. WITHOUT A JAB! I can't stress that enough.

Margarito was also weak to the body. Had Manny and Cotto stuck to it, they both could have had stoppages.

Those bringing up Maidana truly know very little of what they're watching. Chino is a far better boxer than Margarito ever was. There are nuances to this game that Maidana has in spades over Margs.

We're talking about a prime Mayweather here, ffs.

Since C.J. refused to answer your question, I will...!!! Each fighter is allowed 20 yards of gauze and 8 feet of tape. When fist is in a clenched position, no tape shall be on the knuckle region. There is an exemption to this rule though; if a combatant has a recent or scabbed cut on his knuckle, the trainer may place a band-aid or bandage directly on the skin (with Commission consent)...!!!

Yep also the tape has to be 1 inch away from the top of the knuckles, and cannot be taped directly over the gauze covering the knuckles... also fighters are allowed to put pre wrapping tape, before actUal gauze is applied...at least thats how i remember it

As for the bolded; it varies by Commission. California, New York, Texas, Nevada allow it without consent, oddly mainly Southeastern states (Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee) a combatant must have the Commission allow the promoter to supply the pre-wrapping tape...!!!

Yeah that is strange southeastern states have to go through commission say-so's on whether a pre wrap can be applied...
