Foreman was the best over 40 guy ever, so you can't really use him for a yardstick as to how someone should perform. Tyson can fight and may be catching wlad at the right time. I think wlad will win but at current odds I would take fury. Anything 3-1 or better I think is good for fury.

Wlad has been a great fighter, much better than most people thought he would be. But 39 is ancient. I'm old enough to remember Ali at 38.

Modern conditioning even without PEDS helps old guys more than young ones.
Ali was very sick by 38, had Parkinson's progressing for years.

Klitchko is still a heavy favorite.
It would be a pretty big, not historic, upset.

39 isn't ancient:nono, It's all about the genetics, Mayweather will be 39 in a few months and he could easily fight and be competitive for another 10 years, Hopkins was still competitive (at world class level) and winning at 48, and Wlad is better now than he was 10 years ago when he was KO'D by Brewster, and almost lost to Peter,...

As for Ali well he did the rope a dope too long, and it damaged his Kidney's, then it led to Thyroid problems, and by the time he fought Holmes he had to get medicated up from chemicals just to get into the ring, he was sickly:-(

Please. May weather will not be competitive for another 10 years. Hopkins is the exception that proves the rule. Only one guy has done what hopkins has done ; thousands have tried and failed.

Wlad has clearly deteriorated. I still make him favorite over fury but only at 2-1 on or 3-1 if betting fury. So few people are effective at this age. He could fold any time.

This is somewhat accurate. Wlad has slipped some, his combinations are fewer, his jab is less frequent and his mobility is down. However he still comes in at top condition, he also keeps his condition between fights which is huge plus in maintaining longevity. He hasn't taken too much abuse for his long career either, now he could fold at his age but I think he is self aware to his own abilities. Not all fighters are most aren't but I give him the benefit of the doubt. I think he can squeeze one more good year out. But it is getting interesting and it is getting towards the end.

It's already an upset in that it has happened.

further evidence of just how dire boxing has become.

there are proper and better challengers well ahead of this guy, just capitalise on a hype machine, thinking the fans want it, caring not what it does to the validity (none left), of the sport.

Send him away for keeps please Wlad.

fight plan - Go after him quick and sure, demand his respect and belt him around the ring hard & fast... give him the fight that he has never experienced, a fight he was ALWAYS steered clear from, and punish him into an early stoppage in 3-5 rounds!!!

I'll be astonished if Fury beats Wlad. I don't see what he possesses that can win him this fight, oh sorry he's big.
The first time Wlad lands with a solid shot he'll be on his backside, and although Fury has shown heart after previous knock downs I'd expect Wlad to put him away.

Would be a bit of an upset I think, wlad is strong favourite but fury could ware him down in the second half of the fight. I think it will be a fairly close fight but I think wlad will win and it won't be that much of a surprise.
