For me the legendary Cus D'Amato, took 3 guys from the bottom all the way to heavyweight world champions, Floyd Patterson, Jose Torres and the one and only Iron Mike Tyson. Plus the fighting style D'Amato taught them, peek-a-boo, slip and weave style was a delight to watch especially from Tyson, not no Mayweather style running for 12 rounds.
Different trainers bring different things to the table. I like Eddie Futch. Ray Arcel and Emmanuel Steward are also great
Cus, Freddie, Eddie, Nacho, Lou, Emmanuel, Angelo, Jack(Balckburn), Teddy, Roger. Have I missed any? End thread
Teddy Atlas? He belongs nowhere near a list of greatest trainers ever. Ray Arcel was a great trainer.
Emanuel Steward. Lewis listened to every word Emanuel had to say, many say Lewis wouldn't of been as good without him. Emanuel completely changed Wladimir, into a powerful champion that hasn't lost in many years.
Steve Cunningham Sergio Martinez (advisory position) Richardson does a ton of work with the Philly amatuer development...!!!
