Caught him w a lucky punch? He hit him twice with the same punch 3 seconds apart. Its called timing. Give facts before you discredit anyone.

 

Well Kostya was a bit old by the time he took on Judah.

Judah was an incredible talent, but Kostya is one of the greatest JWW's in the history of the sport. He's up there with guys like the Hawk. Their fight wasn't a fluke by any means. Now would Judah have done better in a rematch? Maybe, but as I said before at that juncture KT was getting up there in age so it's not like he was taking on Tszyu in his prime.

 

Top 10, but definitely not top 5.

Pryor, Chavez Sr, Cervantes, Loi, and Locche all rank above him.

 

Mayebe, but Vitali vs Lewis and Manny vs Floyd are better examples.

 

I think it is obvious from Judah's career he wasn't the better fighter. Judah had a Glass Jaw, no Heart, and no Ring IQ. Judah was an overrated fighter just because Boxing novices like Max Kellerman told us he was "Sweet Pea with power" doesn't make it such. Judah was exposed by KT and other than a win against the awful Cory Spinks never did anything else. He hasn't had a decent win in about a decade.

 

Far bigger fan of Judah, but without any bias whatsover Tszyu was a far better boxer than Zab. Better athlete, no. Better boxer, yes.

 

Those are atrocious examples to be honest :nut

he was winning the fight.......yea after 1 round

A slower and less athletic fighter uses superior timing to figure out and KO the quick guy

KT figured out Judah in a round and got rid of him

Garcia was landing counters by the end of round 1 and into round 2

these fights became only a matter of time

now if khan and Judah could take a better punch they may have got up or never went down in the first place but with a hard puncher who timed you the fight is going to be anything but easy

This seems like a case of being tricked into thinking someone is skilled because they are fast. Just becasue your fast does not mean you are a great ring general.
Zoo was a way better technician that Judah. Zoo was patient and had great timing. He was a much better fighter than Judah.

 

KT was extremely talented, brilliant timing, massive power and ATG mental fortitude. I've always found him to be a bit under rated, esp in the USA. His style and specific skill-set was very elusive and hard to appreciate. He wasn't very flashy, and his fighting style had no special flare, but he was extremely effective.

I'll always rate him above Judah.

Tho from what I've seen of MVC from casually browsing the forums, he makes a lot of silly threads intent on getting responses from people, so I doubt this is serious, and if it is, I'm not sure if he quite understands boxing.
