Floyd Mayweather's Best Performance?

Very probably. I wouldn't pick Corrales over Mayweather myself, regardless of weight issues.

However it is a fact that Corrales had already moved up in weight, he was dragged back down for the Floyd fight and struggled with it.

It's still Mayweather's best win.

Agree, that schooling of Pac doesn't make Floyd's top 10 fights. It was too easy.

 

Especially when you consider that Morales had already schooled and actually beat the **** out of a Prime Pacquiao 10 years earlier. :deal

Also considering Juan Mauel Marquez had already done what Mayweather had promised to do, KTFO Pacquiao.

Lets also consider that Marquez dominated and punished Pacquiao in thre 3rd fight more than Mayweather did.

Let's also consider that by the time Mayweather decided to fight Pacquiao, Pac had already been hospitalized after the Margarito fight, had gotten KTFO 3 times in his career, had already been outboxed more than once by smaller men than Mayweather.

 

If the would've met 2004 Pac had been KO'd 3x's...

 

I don't buy it. I look at the resumes of a lot of guys who are considered great at WW. There's usally 2 guys in the division to fight and 3 out. What's changed ? Or do you want to go to the SRL, Hearns , Benitez card with Hagler has the 154lbs tweener... Boring..... LOL....

Between 2003-2005 Mayweather fought only C level journeymen. Don't see it as Mayweather's confidence was at an all time low.

 

The fact of the matter is Floyd is just so much better than the competition than Hearns, SRL, Emile Griffith, Pernell or anybody else in their era and if he'd fought in their era it'd be no different...

 

Phillip Ndou is far from C level - I know you're not familiar with his game !
And to say Chop Chop is C- Level particularly at that time shows a lack of knowledge of the sport....

Joe Cortez was as big a factor as Mayweather In the Mayweather-Hatton fight. Hatton was denied any chance he had by Cortez blatantly biased officiating.
