He had the same two weeks preparation. That small prep was broken up by hectic press obligations as well. Mendes was full time at base all along.

And Gregor blasted him in his best rounds while having a massive stylistic dis-advantage.

You don't know much about MMA then if you think that's the case. Relative to his sport/division, McGregor has a very better resume, and is more proven than windmill.

I was a fan before the Zuffa purchase when this sport was just freakshow you only heard of from word of mouth. I'm just not very keen on Mcgregor.

Mcgregor does not have a better resume than Wilder.
Wilder and Mcgregor have both only fought 1 top 5 fighter in their entire careers. That one high ranked opponent they fought was not in top shape.
Both are being hyped by some as the best fighter in their division. Both got undeserved title shots. Both are fake paper champs with a long reigning true champ in their division.

First Ufc fight I've seen and wow it looked so staged. Mendes guy had Connor on the floor and then he gets up and literally just stands there and let's Connor punch him. Soooo staged.

Either staged or just poor quality of fighters. This guy is ranked number 2. Can you imagine Floyd just standing there and letting the other guy punch him? Look how big the cage is, all he had to do was move away.

He had less than 2 weeks to train for the fight, he simply wasn't anywhere close to proper condition. Mendes with a full camp, basically the Mendes that took Aldo to the brink of death would have run right through Mcgregor.

Hmmm maybe. I don't know a lot about ufc, never seen a single fight, only watched this one cause of Connor McGregor. He seems to be the Floyd may weather of ufc with the way he acts. Hence why they need him to win and why it might have been staged. He's everywhere, him losing is bad for the sport plus it won't set up the ufc equivalent of Floyd/pac....aldo vs McGregor. But you would know a lot more about this so I'll take your opinion that it was just that he was gassed out cause he had little training.

I liked the event though, ufc ain't that bad.

Wilder has never fought a top 5 fighter, try again... McGregor for the most part has beaten top 15 fighters since joining the UFC. Brimage, and Brandao being exceptions. Brandao at least is a solid gatekeeper. Other than that he's beaten Siver, Holloway, Poirier, and now Mendes. The latter 3 all being top 10 talent. McGregor hasn't been sheltered like windmill has. I follow both boxing, and MMA on a regular basis. I'm not in the dark about things like many of the posters on this board. Wilder has faced two top 50 fighters, the dude is a clown and a disgrace to boxing. McGregor is not the UFC equivalent of him, if you followed his career/the UFC like I have you would know that his resume is better/

Nope, you got schooled by someone who referenced several forums, and completely shut you down with the points I presented, you clearly could not dispute it. You also got schooled by someone that made you ***** out from showing who you really are. You went for the personal insults, then went into hiding once I offered to compare our lives on skype.

And you keep bringing up sherdog instead of arguing my points because you know you're just embarrassing yourself, and that's all you can hold onto. I'm not some delusional liar like you. I can admit that I'm a relatively new fan, I used sherdog and the other forums just to make a point that it's clearly not only a new fan that thinks this, and I doubt that those forums and other forums had this many posts about a rig, on any other average fight.

irish myself and mcgregor is a complete idiot.

id agree with ellerbe here, mcgregor is the biggest draw the ufc has ever had, plans to sell out croke park etc if there was ever a situation for a fix this is it

his a complete gimp and it disgusts me the following he has in ireland when you see a complete gentleman and great fighter in andy lee not getting a tenth of the support

I dont think McGregor is actually like that in real life, he does it to sell tickets, and it's interesting. I don't dislike the guy at all, Chad Mendes on the other hand bored me to death with his hugging and wrestling, there's no way I would watch that dude again.

But your point for rigging is right. McGregor is a huge draw, so there's plenty of reason why they would do this, but honestly if the fight didn't end in such a bizarre way I wouldn't question it.

nah i think the whole mcgregor story is complete bull and the guys a bit of a idiot. He came out with this big hard luck story of being an out of work plumber who decided to give ufc a go and had it really hard. In reality i think he was on unemployment benefit for 2 weeks while living in his parents home which could be discribed as a mansion.

his just a completely manufactured mouthy idiot

well this is mma, i doubt you care about the sport, if you talked **** about an irish boxer that would be a different story.
