It has mate,i wont say wot I did to watch that taylor fight because the British boxing media did not even put his fights on television but I will never forget that last round. He needed the knockout and got it.
Great fighter. Saw him when i was first starting to really get into following boxing. I admit I didn't like him too much at first, but his heart and style was simply too fan friendly not to win me over.
Indeed a truly great fighter. His career was epic. He fought the best and he didn't avoid anyone. It's a pity that his dream fight in Las Vegas against a big name didn't come true. Cobra !
Sad day really. He was a throwback fighter of the 80's and was always involved in entertaining fights, what more could you ask for. Retired at the right time with all his faculties in place.
Fought the best..... and did what he could to go to war with them If they were willing - ala Kessler, Pascal - then we were treated to savage wars If they werent - ala Dirrell, Ward - Carl still did his damndest to make it into a war Never took a backwards step is spot on Boxing will miss you Carl
Favourite fighter of the last 10 years. Not the best boxer in the world, but definitely the most entertaining.
