Froch's retirement befit the man he is.

Sky adding Froch to the team of boxing ****ysts is crazy, his personality is dull to the point of sending people into a coma, he is always jittery and nervous in front of the camera's. I have nothing against Froch retiring, but as a boxing pundit he is simply awful!

 

Groves made Froch realize in the first fight how much he's been well matched. Fought guys when they were too green like Dirrell and Groves or over the hill like Kessler x2, Johnson, Bute and he still should have lost a few of those fights.

He wanted to fight Chavez Jr because everybody with their head screwed on knew how over rated he was but I bet you if Froch were to beat him by stoppage we'd never hear the end of it. How much of a monster Froch was walking through Chavez's shots and stopping him.

Instead Chavez Jr was exposed and he only had a fight with Golovkin, Ward or DeGale all of which I believe Froch felt he would lose.

 

Calzaghe was far better than Froch and receives more critisism even though he faced and beat more world champions than Froch did.

 

there are a lot of small minded petty people on here.I don't know Froch but I do know he has given me many great nights of boxing entertainment.He has had a great career,if you had had similar and had plenty of cash in the bank and a young family would you still want to keep getting thumped in the head,particularly for a lot of people who don't seem to appreciate what he has done for the sport.You really can't please some idiots.

Joe's career defining fight was beating a proven hypejob in Lacy.

 

Could you not say the same about Bute... he was built up just like Lacy (although not to the same extent as Lacy was billed as the 'mini Tyson') yet neither had done / did much before or after being pasted by Calzaghe and Froch.

Calzaghe has the W over an undefeated Kessler, at the first time of asking...

 

Why are people moaning? He said straight after the Groves fight retirement is a real possibility, he always said he would take his time. He's been great for British boxing, and a pleasure to watch. There are some little gob****es on here.

 

38 years old, fought the best around, was in many a hard fight, travelled to fight, fought as an underdog, sold out huge venues.... you can't knock him as a fighter or his decision.

 

Lennox Lewis gets plenty of criticism from some quarters for going back on a statement that he'd give Vitali a rematch.


People who believe Froch is an all-time great usually have no idea about boxing history. :good

He was pretty good, a decent "world titlist", not a real world's champion. Certainly not a British "legend".

He beat a prime undefeated Kessler who went on to beat a prime Froch, he beat Eubank, he beat Bika, he beat Mitchell, he beat Woodhall, he beat Reid, he beat Jones, he beat Hopkins, he beat Lacy and he beat Brewer as well.

He faced more world champions than Froch did and that's including the empty shell of Reid Froch faced. End of the day 46-0 vs. more world champions and never lost.

Froch lost to Dirrell and Johnson in my eyes as well.

 

Will always be remembered for the Ward fight. One would have thought the self proclaimed man who takes on any challenges would have gone all out to avenge that one sided beat down.

 

Hes been a bit David Haye like with regards to running his mouth the past few months. and I don't like that. But he has had a great career and gave us some great fights over the years, I think GGG would of beaten him and I think he knew that too, but nevertheless I like Froch and too be fair left the game in a smart way really, can't knock that, fair play to him
