[YT]F-OHGT9sN8E[/YT] I think the smart Bobby Czyz in the studio predicted Benn's upper body motion could cause problems to Gerald's timing.
What a fight this was - just such a shame about the ending. Always makes me laugh when some people say "Benn could dish it out, but couldn't take it" ... look at the bombs he took in that fight especially in the first round against a monster puncher like G-Man.
Benn against Logan goes against the 'he can give, but not take it' comment. Benn ate some BOMBS that night and delivered a KILLER punch to finish it. That's the definition of giving as good as you get.
Well, seeing as you put it that way, yeah! Cracking shot. Absolute peach of a shot. A wounded Benn was a dangerous, dangerous man.
Definitely... the way he would be up against the ropes, taking big shots to then come roaring back with vicious hooks. The man was a beast.
Yeah, in terms of form. But you're hardly going to get good form from someone who has been hit with 20 odd unanswered shots AND has shaky whiskers, are you?
Yes a good doc on the fight. The Showtime commentary in many ways dismissive of both fighters at the end it was a brutal fight with an ending that was unfortunate. It is a fight I have written about. The corner for McClellan was of his own choice and a bad one at that after falling out over % with Manny Steward.
American bull****. Benn beat the ****e out of him in the 10th , yet it was the dreadlocks that did McClellen in???
Don't know if anyone has seen it but there's a new documentary on McClellan. there's a payment to rent it but I believe 50% of the proceeds go towards Gerald. For anyone interested the link is below: https://vimeo.com/ondemand/fallensoldier
I do have sympathy with his situation and his sisters situation being his full time carers but I have a problem giving McClellan money after what I've read about him outside of boxing. Like the dog fighting and taping the mouths of little Labradors and letting his pitbulls tear them apart so his dogs could "get a kill". The man is a f***ing scumbag.
