Forget all this Mayweather/Berto talk. its just a distraction like when he said he was fighting Devon Alexander. Personally for me this is my wishlist for fights at 147 with the winners fighting each other Floyd Mayweather v Amir Khan Kell Brook v Kieth Thurman ------------------------------------- Shawn Porter v Timothy Bradley Danny Garcia v Paulie Malignaggi ------------------------------------- Brandon Rios v Andre Berto Robert Guerrero v Adrien Broner ------------------------------------- Manny Pacquiao v Marcos Maidana Jessie Vargas v Devon Alexander -------------------------------------
All great fights that make sense I agree with your list Garcia vs Malignaggi is official so we have that to look forward to Hopefully, the others will get made as well
thats the only one i didnt want to see but its official now so what can you do? Garcia has back tracked on quality opponents since the Matthysse fight going for softer touches and is still in my eyes lost to Peterson/Herrera not to mention the bogus knockdown in the Matthysse bout. He could have somewhat redeemed himself had he fought Postol or if he challenged someone like Maidana / Thurman but he picks Malignaggi who has looked bad in his last 4 fights losing 2 of them (although i had him beating broner slightly) and hasnt fought since his loss to Porter in april 2014. He could have fought Diego Chaves and I still would have preferred it
Floyd said he would be sticking round for his 50th bout Pacquiao said he will be returning in 2016 Maidana is out until 2016 as he gained weight since fighting floyd This means realistically that Maidana/Pacquiao would be the perfect matchup for both guys and would have the animosity from the Garcia/Roach camps after what happened in the Rios fight. Floyd should just shut Amir Khan up seeing how Thurmans stocked dropped from the Collazo fight, Brook KHAN fight Thurman (see what i did there) to get his name out in the US more and then the others are just equal match ups
I see where you are coming from but I actually still think Garcia vs Malignaggi is a decent fight First off, Garcia is finally moving up which is what I wanted to see from him. And secondly, Garcia seems to struggle with boxers. Malignaggi is a decent boxer and I see Malignaggi as a live dog in this fight. To me Garcia has always been an overachiever anyway, so I'm fine with him choosing a relatively weaker welterweight opponent his first time fighting at the full 147 limit
Floyd Mayweather v Danny Garcia Manny Pacquiao v Adrian Broner (easy work for PacMan on the comeback, easy work for Mayweather and Garcia is acceptable to see out his contract with Showtime. They can rematch when Mayweather attempts to hit 50-0 but should give back to boxing and do in on free TV after all the ****e they have gave us over the years) Kell Brook v Juan Manuel Marquez Amir Khan v Timothy Bradley (think the tow Brits wins these netting their most significant wins yet and their showdown gets bigger) Ruslan Provdnikov v Brandon Rios Marcus Maidana v Lucas Matthysse (all out wars) Keith Thurman v Shawn Porter Errol Spence Jr v Sadam Ali (Spence or Ali to earn their title shot against one of the PBC boys and each other) Devon Alexander v Robert Guerrero Andre Berto v Diego Chaves (winner of the tournament is somewhat relevant, the other 3 would need to retire)
