Only if Rigo scares him early and makes him shut down his offense. Otherwise I see plenty of punching from both men.

I don't understand the Loma-Pac comparison, what do they do similar other than throwing combination punches? They fight NOTHING alike at all.

Great fight and i think this will live up to expectations. Both fighters want a good entertaining fight to boost popularity and in rigos case start some popularity.
Loma for me points close though

Poor Loma he's going to injure his hand again in this fight, he'll be picking Cuban glass out of his knuckles for months.:-(

if it isn't in the actual contract it is meaningless. Either way it isn't really possible to enforce them.

And the fight goes on no matter the rehydration clause if a fighter is over he pays a fine. I think the title will be on the line even if you are over the rehydration, you just make the the weigh in

I think it's too early for Lomachenko, I don't think he is quite ready for Rigondeaux yet... I'm not sure what to vote tbh, but it will be a good fight...

This will be a great fight one of the very best in the sport today. I'm going with Loma he's elite and he has the size advantage. Rigo is elite as well and is a live dog but Loma should take this one. If Loma wins he should skyrocket up the P4P lists.

Difficult fight to predict, it's crazy that some think it's going to be easy one way or the other. If it's easy for one of them, than that's huge.
Definitely rooting for Loma, big fan of both, but Loma has more to offer at this point. Plus, who knows maybe a defeat might actually help Rigo. If others see him lose, they'll probably think they can beat him as well.

If Loma wins, it'll be huge, of course there will be people that won't give him credit. It's actually a more risky fight for Loma, if he wins won't receive credit and if he loses, can he afford it? Loma is the only one with the tools to beat Rigo at 126 or below imo. The only other way is to catch him with a good hard punch.
Loma is going to have to neutralize Rigo's straight left, that Rigo's best punch. Actually, it seems like that's what Rigo is mainly trying to setup in all of his fights, obviously he has more tools. Rigo is fighter that relies on straight punches, so if you let him keep you at distance he's going to have a field day. Lomachenko is the only one with the upper-body movement and footwork to get at close or at mid-range against Rigo. Rigo also seems fragile, he's been down and hurt before, now Loma might not be the biggest puncher but he has put down bigger opponents in the amateurs and has hurt all of his opponents in the pros. If I'm not mistaken he's had hand problems for a while, so he probably doesn't sit down on his punches against lower level opponents, but if he has Rigo on the opposite side of the ring, he will probably try to hurt him.

People are using the Salido "defeat" against Loma. First off, Rigo fights nothing like Salido. Second, the fight was close. People act like Salido completely whooped him, it's a fight they could have easily given to the "Golden Boy". I thought Loma did more than Salido and deserved a decision. The 12th round could have been a 10-8 round in favor of Loma, if the referee was any good Salido would have been deducted at least one, maybe two, points. Salido didn't even out-land Loma, so that's why I don't understand when haters use that against him. It seems that's the fight they will always use against Loma and make it seem like Salido completely beat up on him. It was also Loma's second pro fight, so there was a lot of questions going into the fight. Loma mainly struggled with Salido's dirty tactics and he was having a lot of trouble pacing himself for twelve rounds.
Even Rigo didn't step up in his second pro bout. He stepped up in his 7th, still fast without a doubt, against Cordoba and didn't look so well himself.
Before someone calls me a biased Euro, I'm actually Mexican-American and I was actually rooting for the dirty *******, Salido, going into the fight.

Who knows if this fight will happen. I doubt it.
But if it does, WAR LOMACHENKO!!!!

By the way, does anyone know if Loma's father trains another young talented kid coming up? I really like what he taught his son.

I think this is going to be a REALLY good fight. People say Rigo is boring, but thats just because he has been in with overmatched opponents and isnt a KO-seeker.

This could easily end up being the best boxing match of 2015.
