I'm not bothered in the least if Mayweather called out Cotto and said let's fight for your MW title at 154.1, or if Cotto or Canelo said GGG is next at 155.

Canelo and Quillin are guilty of it as well.

 

Pac ranks higher than Floyd because he legit beat two ATGs close to their prime. Floyd hasn't beaten any close to their prime lol Sorry but hatton, Castillo, Corrales don't have the same value as Barerra and Morales, and even though Pac lost one against Morales, the wins over him and barrera are epic and something Floyd hasn't accomplished in his entire career. Only Floyd has going is the 0, but he has an ultra shallow resume and lacks truly great while prime fighters on it. I also think Oscar beating PRIME Trinidad, Mosley in the rematch, Chavez twice, Hernandez (BEFORE floyd did), Vargas, Quartey, Whitaker also puts him above Floyd and Pac considering he has more wins over greater fighters. Chavez was the only one who wasn't prime but was still very active. And yea, I know the judges gave oscar the L for the tito and mosley 2 fight, but any fan who knows boxing knows Oscar won those fights handily, regardless what is on paper.

What does the saying "in your prime" mean? It seems to me that the way people use the term, you can look great for 1-2 fights and be in your prime but once someone comes and beats you, you are past your prime. It doesn't make sense. Tell me when fighters like Cotto, Oscar, Shane, Pac and Floyd were considered "in their prime" so I can know who they were fighting at that particular time in their career. I laugh cause the same people who say Floyd beat a "shot" De la Hoya at 154 give Manny credit for beating De la Hoya at 147?atsch

Plus you should also differentiate between catchweights within ones own weight class for belts, and catchweights between fighters in different weight classes for no belt IMO.
