From what I've heard, Kovalev is a nice guy outside of the ring.

It's the best fight that can be made at LH. For that reason (given the state of boxing) I very much doubt it will be made!

But it's unlikely Beterbiev's promoter Yvon Michel, or his adviser Al Haymon, will accept the fight."

    did you miss that bit

I don't want to see Kovalev-Beterbiev yet! This is a huge legacy fight. late 2016, or 2017 is the right time for the fight. Let Beterbiev prove himself a bit more, then the value of the win for Kovalev will mean much more.

Let Kovalev unify the belts first.

no way lol, i dont believe it, the smart move would to give beterbiev more exposure so the fight could truly be a super fight, im not going to complain if we get it, but this has the potential to be a HUGE fight, feed pascal, bhop, chilemba, brahemer to beterbiev let him build his name a little and this **** is 100000% ppv worthy.

How would you feel asking his permission to marry his daughter?

Yvon Michel re twitted a bunch of stuff about this fight, included Beter's twitter account too.
Looks like him and Duva will be talking about it in next couple of weeks.

Why would Haymon sacrifice his superstar this early in his career, especially for some ridiculously low figure.

He could easily cash out Stevenson in house to Beterbiev at any moment he chooses, and all the $$$ would stay in house, and it would force Duva into a 50/50 scenario with all the concessions made by Kovalev as to venue ring, officials, gloves etc.

Not happening. At elast for 2,3 yrs.

I could see Al dealing out Stevenson to Kovalev just b/c Beterbiev would be mandatory whenever he chose, and if there;s ANYONE in the LHW division gonna beat Sergey, it'd be an 18-0 Beterbeiv. :good

    Good point

Yeah it does make a lot of sense for Team Kovalev right now, not so much Team Steamroller

Kovalev vs. Beterbiev on Thanksgiving weekend.

    That would be incredible.

Lol oh man....I`m always surprised by the naivete on this site when it comes to rumors and bs contract offers. I mean seriously we`re all supposed to be the hardcore of the hardcore...the guys who endure their girl friends` disapproving shake of the head, while we post on some online forum, because to hell with what you think boxing is awesome and if you won`t talk boxing with me I'm'a find some people that will....Lol

Anyways the point is we alll follow boxing enough to know Kovalev is an HBO fight and AB is a PBC fighter and neither camp will let their guys cross over and face the other. So Kovalev can make as many offers as he wants to AB the fight won't happen. This is just Mainevents trying to make it look like another PBC fighter is ducking and thereby making up for the embarrassment of having to back out of a purse bid against stevenson.
